Slightly AU because of language issues in the Tower, but I really wanted to write it.
"Llamas?" Ran deadpanned. "Vicuña. Alpaca. Camels."
"How many lines am I supposed to draw for that?" Anak snapped back. "You're not even trying, you blue bastard! At least guess a letter first!"
Actually, he was trying. Ran just happened to be playing a slightly different game than Anak was – instead of Hangman, he called it "Annoy Anak Zahard". It was a very specific game that depended heavily on the circumstances, and so currently involved coming up with as many six-letter animal words as possible. He'd even added a bonus hard mode where they all had to come from the same biological family and contain the letter "a".
However, if he kept this up, she was probably going to punch him again.
"Fine. How about–"
"Never mind. It's your turn, bastard."
Despite what she'd said earlier, Anak was already angrily scratching out her own drawings and sliding the paper and pencil over to Ran's side instead. As opposed to stabbing him or something. Lately he was starting to wonder if he didn't give the lizard enough credit. Except she'd pretty much renamed him "Bastard" at this point.
Ran didn't even waste time thinking about his word, planting six new lines and the beginnings of a hangman's noose on the page, even despite the fact that their pencil was so blunt they could barely write with it.
It was so obvious, but the fact that the lizard already had three limbs and the letters "l" and "a" on the paper by the time she figured it out didn't make her reaction any less amusing.
Common interpretations of the Ran and Anak dynamic I've seen online in fanart:
Ran is a troll and Anak gets annoyed with him. I love it.
