Gemmed Confession…

I dragged myself to my room, the guys had all gone out leaving me to look after the robot.. The time was half past God only knows and to put it bluntly I was bored. Oh and did I mention hot? 30 decrees are just to much…

But one thing more than anything else kept running through my head.

I got to my room and typed my password in. something no-one will ever be able to guess because it's so blatantly obvious.

"N—O—V—A" I mumbled typing in the keys as I said them. The door being it's usual self got jammed half way through the process of opening. I gave it a quick kick, making the dent in it a little bit bigger…, and it smoothly slid across. I walked into my room.

I switched the light on and walked to my bathroom. Well I'm hardly going to share with the guys am I? I run the tap and let the icy cool water run onto my hands. I got a flannel using the nifty little gadget called my tail. I often wonder how Chiro lives without one…

I wet the flannel and rub my face into it. The cool water helped my mechanics to lower their temperature. I stopped the tap and walked back out the bathroom. I walked over to my chest of drawers. I turned on my radio. Yeah I listen to music late, so what?

I put one of my CDs into it. I pressed play and the soft music filled my room. As the chilling sound of 'Loving You' by Minnie Riperton relaxed me I noticed something catch my eye on my little bed-side table.

A small little velvet bag was on it. It was a beautiful 'Ruby Red' in colour. A red card was placed next to it.

I got onto my bed and picked up the little bag. I untied the little yellow ribbon tied around it. Then I remembered the card. I resisted the urge to look inside and picked up the delicate card. One beautiful red rose was pointing out the top of it. But…a red rose meant 'love' didn't it?

I opened the card. It read:

"To The Most Beautiful Monkey I Have Ever Seen,

I know you don't feel this way about me but I need to tell you that you mean more than the world to me. I'm sorry I couldn't say this to your face, I've tried believe me. But you seem to think I'm just playing around. But you know what, every time you hit me or push me or slap me or hit me with your tail I'll still feel the same. I hope the rose and gift tells you what you need to know.

Now I was curious. I laid the card and rose down and picked up the little bag again I tipped it up and the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen slid out. A necklace was what slid out. The pendant was white gold stem with diamonds studded down it. Two rubies were attached each to make the shape of a flower. Both were studded with a diamond in the centre.

Rubies are said to let love and joy enter your body. And diamonds are said to increase personal clarity in the mind and body. I put the necklace around my neck and it glittered happily.

I guess I was wrong about Sprx. I had kept my heart under lock and key, never letting my emotions show. But, there was something about him; he's irresistible charm, the sparkly glint in his eyes…

When he gets back from whatever he's doing I'll tell him. For it's always been there, just never been allowed to be noticed.
