One of the redheads in the room sighed, his back leaning up carefully against a rice paper sliding door as he glanced up and down the hall. Lookout wasn't a fun job, but with the amount of clutter in the storage room beyond, he didn't mind being the one bored. It was better than what the girl was stuck with, searching through tons and tons of equipment just for a small box of contraband.

'Honestly, I don't know how he can fit anything else in that freaking room!' He thought to himself as some cursing filtered out of the room behind him.

The object in question was of some worth to his Captain Kutchiki, but he didn't have any idea of what it could be. Before he and Rangiku had been dispatched to Urahara's to retrieve it, all they had been told was that it was vital to the operations of the sixth and tenth devisions and not to let Urahara catch them at it.

He sighed as he glanced at a clock positioned in the hall, glaring as he realized they had been there for around an hour and a half and they still hadn't found anything.

"I don't think they're coming back anytime soon" he called through the door to his appointed partner. "I could probably come in and help if you want."

Waiting for a response, he adjusted his sword belt, pulling a stray piece of hair off and to the side of his face. Then, suddenly, there was a scream of surprise and possibly a little pain.

Pulling the door open quickly, he jumped over boxes and through shelving, searching for Rangiku amid the pile of boxes everywhere. Strength and skill aside, if those boxes had fallen on her in the gigai she might have been severely hurt and her soul trapped if the seal was struck.

Calling her name, he breathed a sigh of relief as she stood from amid a small pile of boxes more to the southwest corner. She didn't seem hurt, just winded, and very angry.

"That stupid Urahara; I don't ever know how he became a captain." Grumbling, she dusted off herself as she stepped forward, but just as she put pressure on it, her ankle gave out.

Acting on instinct, he jumped up to catch her and succeeded, although it didn't help much as they both were sent to the floor, bursting open a box with their combined weight and sending its contents into the air.

When the confusion was over, he finally realized the position they were in, her face inches from his and their breathing erratic. Right at that moment she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, her hair in disarray and eyes confused but bright. She shifted, rubbing her…more endowed parts on his chest, and his breath caught.

Smiling, she looked him over.

"Damn, Aburai, what's got you all flustered?"

"It's nothing." He bit out quickly, too quickly to cover up the slight tremor in his voice. "You just have a packing peanut in your hair."

Conveniently, she did.
