At first there was a sharp kind of love.
I would wait to smell his scent.
See his thin sleek form.
He made my heart flutter in my chest.
Even though it was wrong I didn't care.
We ran away from our families.
We ran away together.
Then we had to go back.
Badgers were hurting my family.
The family I had left.
When we returned there was death.
My mentor, Cinderpelt.
She was gone.
I was too late.
My heart broke.
Even my beloved Crowfeather couldn't fix it.
I knew I couldn't stay with him.
My family needs me.
