smoke
and dust.

Take me to a quiet place.
Filled with
sand and
silence and
sacrifice.
Take me to the stars.
Show me what I could be
and what I will be
and why I shouldn't be alone.
Take me to a magical place called Earth.
Where the people have lifespans of a candle
but the really good candles that smell like
peppermint
and roses
and sunshine.
And their flames glow all sorts of colors
and burn brighter than you could ever imagine.
Take me there.
For though it is not where I belong
I am in love with those who do.
