A/N: Alright! This is EXTREMELY short, and this whole idea is really played out, but I was rewatching Conventions, and realized I had to write my own. It's up to you guys whether I continue this or not. I mostly just wrote it because it wouldn't leave my head. If this gets any less than 10 reviews, I'm not going to go anywhere with it, and it will just sit here as a one shot. Lemme know whatcha think!

Jay sat in the parking lot of Erin's apartment complex and watched as she entered the building. He thought about the words she told him at dinner "Maybe one day." The words repeated in his head like a bad song, he couldn't get over it. He knew they felt the same way about each other, but he also knew they couldn't act upon them for several reasons, but he didn't think one day was going to be enough for him. They were cops, they put their lives in danger day in and day out. Jay realized if he didn't act today, he may never get the chance. So, he quickly pulled into the closest parking space and turned off his car. It was now or never.

As soon as Erin set down her keys she heard a knock at her door. A grin on her face began to form as she made her way back to her front door, knowing her partner was the one on the other side of it. She opened her door to reveal said partner, looking at her in way she'd never seen before. "Did you forget something?" She asked him, still smiling.

Completely ignoring her question, Jay started, "Maybe one day isn't enough for me, Erin. In our line of work, maybe one day isn't gonna fly. We go out there and risk our lives every day, without ever knowing how the day will end. Look at Jules, that day started like any other day; and it ended with us losing a member of our team. I can't live a life, knowing I may never get to taste your lips on mine, never get to feel your skin, never hear your beautiful voice scream my name." He paused to look at her, noticing the unfallen tears glisten in her eyes. "If we don't act on this now, I'm afraid we'll never get the chance. And I am not okay with that."

There they stood in Erin's doorway, considering she never got the chance to invite him inside, only able to stare at each other. They were both frozen, Jay waiting for Erin to say something, to react, and Erin in complete and utter shock over the words that just came out of Jay's mouth.

Sick of waiting, Jay grabbed Erin's face in both hands and kissed her. Hard. He kissed her like there might not even be a tomorrow, like the world depended on it. And while at first Erin was startled, she didn't pull away. She kissed him back, with just as much want.

Eventually, the need for air forced them to let go. Erin was still at a loss for words, and stood still even after the kiss. Jay shook his head, "You know what I want so now, the ball's in your court, Erin Lindsay." With that, he turned and left, leaving Erin to decide what was next for them.
