Living as a Lupin was always a good thing. Remus Lupin was a happy man ever since Severus made the immortality potion. He now could teach in the Muggle school for a bit before returning to Hogwarts. But Remus and Nymphadora were very happy with their life. Teddy was almost 19, and he now had an adopted sister that was 5. She could walk but speaking was a problem. Remus, Nymphadora and Teddy loved her nonetheless though.

As morning began for the family, Remus was reading and Nymphadora just came in with a sleepy little Emily. Her hair was curly and Remus smiled taking the half asleep child. "Morning sleepy," Remus smiled as he kissed her nose and she smiled at him.

Emily smiled and giggled as Remus made a noisy kiss against her cheek. "There's the baby sister's smile. Mom's making bacon for breakfast and she's making sure she gets some vegetables. There's an omelet in the making," Teddy chuckled.

"Mom?" Emily was a little more awake and Remus smiled. He grabbed a book and slowly began reading to her. Remus liked reading to her since it was soothing. He felt accomplished when he read to her since it encouraged her to read back. Granted that was if she was in a talkative mood and very short. He let her try though.

"Is Emily awake now? I want her to come take her medicine," Nymphadora chuckled. Remus smiled and gently patted the girl's thigh as he relaxed his legs fully to make her slide off. She went off and Teddy rolled his eyes.

"How are your studies to be an Auror going?" Remus knew how to keep his focus on Teddy too. He was always able to be a good father to both of the. Teddy, Remus and Nymphadora had all taken the potion. Emily was a witch and would take it when she turned 17.

"They are going good. I'm going out to the field training camp in a few days. So I won't be home for a month with that," he informed.

"I see. Well make sure to write. It's good for Emily and us to hear you're okay," he answered. Teddy knew the exact reason he mentioned that.

"I'll write in words that Emily can read. She would like to hear some cool adventures," Teddy began before he smiled. "I'll be back. I have something that might help her. She will be able to read when she goes back to a Muggle School."

"She's going back on Monday. I'm going to take her with me. I teach her grade. 5 year old girls are only in grade 1 at most. Nymphadora and I can work with her all day on weekends to catch her up with kindergartners. Since she's been missing math and her writing," Remus answered. He and Tonks had already had numerous discussions about what they were doing for Emily.

*Flashback to 2 weeks ago*

"Remus?" Nymphadora had just finished getting Emily settled from the car ride to London for her doctor's appointment into a sleeping position that she'd relax in. Remus was reading and smiled putting his book to the side and patting the spot on the couch next to him. "She's fast asleep. I'm certain getting her to bed tonight will be interesting. She had a meltdown at the doctors," she sighed.

"You can't expect much from her. She's 5 and had a horrible life before being brought home. Her orphanage managers never fed her properly, nor did they give her appropriate appointments at a doctors," Remus sighed.

"I know. Which brings me to helping her. She should be a grade 1 right now. You teach grade one children. Can't you put her in your class?" Nymphadora wanted her with other children her age.

"I can try. What we'll do is we'll start spending more time with her on her education. That way she's ready. We have the one week break right now," he answered. Nymphadora smiled and welcomed the kiss that Remus gave her.

Remus had to smile as he remembered that conversation. Now they were working on getting her writing to be legible. The school had told him to homeschool her with their curriculum for the time being. Once April came which was in 3 days now, she could attend a normal class should his wife feel she was ready to go. "Remus? Darling? We're going out to go for a walk. Want to join us? Emily wanted to ride her bike and she can only do that when we go for walks." Remus was nervous about that but regardless got up while Teddy smiled. Remus knew this would calm his nerves while Teddy went to get what he wanted.

"I'm coming darling. Has Emily done a bathroom break and grabbed her gear she's to wear on her bike?"
