Please Forgive Me

Summary: Sofia wonders if Ruby and Jade will forgive her after they get into a fight that nearly ruins their friendship.

Disclaimer: I don't own Sofia the First or nearly ruined friendships.

Author's Note: Did anyone notice that Ruby and Jade never appeared once in season three despite being good friends with Sofia? I think we all did but enjoy anyways.

My fight that I had with Ruby and Jade a few days before nearly ruined our friendship. It wasn't like the silly ones we had back when Mom and I still lived in the village where we fought over picked flowers as we always made up.

It was more of how busy I've been lately being a princess and never have time for them anymore.

I try to make time for them but sometimes being a princess isn't easy. Between school, flying derby, magic lessons with Mr. Cedric, and whatever is thrown at me, it's difficult to see them like I used to.

I knew Jade to be a little-no completely hurt with me being busy lately but never thought Ruby would be too.

I guess I was wrong.

Everyone at the castle expects me to be at the village like every other weekend to visit Ruby and Jade.

I would usually give Mom and Dad a hug and wave to Amber and James before I would get in the carriage with a smile and have the couch man take me to the village for a couple of hours.

While I did my routine as usual, I didn't smile as I climbed into the carriage. Amber, changed from when I first arrived at the castle two years before, came up to me with concern in her eyes.

"Sofia, if there was anything bothering you, you would tell me what's wrong. Wouldn't you?" She asked in concern before hearing James snicker and giving him a glance.

Hopefully they wouldn't argue while I was gone but I knew that no matter what disagreement they got into, they had always made up in some way.

I hope I can say the same for me, Ruby, and Jade or like we used to at least.

"I would Amber," I responded with a small smile as I saw her gently nod before she stepped away from the carriage as the couch man took me to the village.

Once in the village, I see Ruby and Jade. I expect them to run towards me and have us do our special hand clap but they don't. I come towards them and smile a small smile but only Jade responds.

Harshly.

"Well! Look who's here Ruby! Princess I barely have time to visit my friends because of my royal life Sofia!" Jade greets in a snarl, her brown eyes looking through her glasses angrily at me.

Ruby gives me a small smile as she knows that I'm sorry for what had happened between us. Jade didn't as she beckoned me to leave her and Ruby alone, thinking that I had something else to do besides be with them.

I wanted to be with them. They're my friends! My best friends!

"Jade! Sofia looks like she's sorry! We have to forgive her! She can't help it that she's always busy!" I hear Ruby protest as they come towards me.

Jade sighs as she takes my hand.

"I'm sorry for what I said, Sofia. I was just angry on how you're always so busy to spend time with us," she confessed, brushing her shoes into the dirt.

I nod at her in forgiveness as I knew how difficult it was for Jade to apologize about anything.

For the rest of the hours that I had before going back to the castle, the three of us played together as a way of me making up for the time that I had lost with them by being so busy.

I realize that even though I'm always busy doing princess things, Ruby and Jade should come in between them as they're my best friends and they're best friends that I wouldn't be able to replace with all the princess things in the world.
