In his arms, she always felt safe.
If there ever were a place where her worries disappeared and troubles melted away, it was there.
When they danced, he would hug her slender waist with a strong, but gentle hand as they floated across the floor together.
He would flash his signature smolder, which made her laugh, and in those moments, it was as if they were the only people in the room.
In the evening, when nightmares from her past crept into her dreams, he would wipe away the tears that fell from her emerald eyes and hold her close until the morning sun rose over the kingdom.
She often thought back to that fateful day in the tower when she experienced unparalleled heartbreak and thought she had she had lost him forever.
The memory was still fresh in her mind, but she tried not to dwell on it too much. The most important thing was that he was with her now, and she was sure not to take one single second with him for granted.
And while things seemed to be perfect, there were still times when, out of the blue, a terrible thought would strike her: What if all of this newfound happiness was nothing but a dream?
She kept sleep at bay, afraid that if she closed her eyes, she would wake up back in her tower, trapped, waiting for her life to begin.
This seed of doubt, now planted firmly in her brain, tormented her without end, causing many restless nights.
But, just as her worries became too much to bear, he would sweep her up, and with an ardent kiss, buried her fears deep into the ground, leaving nothing behind but pure bliss.
It was absolutely incredible, the way he made her feel, and as her uncertainty vanished, she knew that she was exactly where she belonged.
In his arms, she always felt safe, and there was nowhere else she would rather be.
