Catch Me

Rochu: A quick little drabble about that one moment when Maka jumps off the ledge with a smile on her face at the end of the 51st episode. Spoilers!

This is written in Soul's POV.

I don't own anything.

I watched as Maka went and punched Asura in the face, his face cracking. I couldn't help but to sweat drop. We've been using guns, a scythe and a katana and all you had to do was punch him in the face to defeat him. But that didn't matter now; what matters is that we're safe and that he is gone for good...

I hope...

I smiled at my meister who was looking out into the horizon. "You really are amazing Maka, the coolest partner ever..." I smirked, I wasn't sure if she could hear me, but I didn't care.

"We did it!" Everyone cheered as they hugged or gave pats on the backs. "The sky is all pretty and blue now!" Patty giggled as Black*Star screamed to the heavens that his godliness was what got to kill Asura. I mentally face palmed but I chuckled as well.

"Are you okay, Soul?" I looked up to see Kid staring down at me. "Yeah, I'm fine; just a little sore. Man, that Kishin can definately kick ass, I can tell you that..." I chuckled heartily.

"Well, now that the Kishin is gone, I guess we should start celebrating..." Liz sighed, probably thinking about what she would wear. "But first we have to help rebuild and clean up the city first," Tsubaki added.

"I don't know, it feels like this isn't over yet." Kid said, his gold eyes showing a look of suspicion. "Something tells me that we may have to face him AGAIN in the future." I shook my head at his belief, even if it did begin to worry me as well.

"That doesn't matter, Kid." All of us looked up to see Maka, who still had her head in the clouds before looking at her hands, her fist clenched in determination. "Sure, he may come back, but there is one thing that he doesn't have that we all have: and that's courage." she said proudly as she lightly pounded her chest.

We all nodded in agreement. Courage was one thing that helped us to defeat Asura; and it would sure as hell come in handy when we face him or any other kishin ever again.

"Wheee!" I saw my meister jump over the ledge and instinct took over me as I got up and ran to go catch her before she injured herself any further. I saw her fly towards me and miraculously caught her, making us both topple over. I felt my cheeks heat up and I noticed a pink tint on her cheeks as well.

"You're the one who caught me during this fight. Now it's time for me to return the favour..." I gave her my signature grin as she giggled before she chastely pressed her lips to mine. My eyes widened in surprise before they closed as I kissed her back with more passion. What seemed like heaven soon left as we let go for air.

"That was a thank you kiss..." she mumbled before I captured her lips in mine once more.

"You're the best partner I could ask for..." I replied once we let go for breath.

"Oh, FINALLY! The two lovebirds finally showed their love for each other. Now, will you two PLEASE get a room?" We turned to see the rest of the group staring at us, our cheeks now as red as a kishin egg. Maka got off of me and held her hand out so that she could help me up. I gladly accepted her hand and got up before giving her a quick peck in the lips before we walked back to the rest of the group.

Rochu: I wanted to write this for a LONG TIME, and now I can check that off of my awesome invisible list. Now, to write more chapters for my stories...
