Fear Street

Run

Prologue

"We really shouldn't be on Fear Street especially at night." Anna Thompson said. "You know about all the terrible and horrifying stories that everyone tells. It's probably best if we just turn around and go back." Her friend Stacey Harper didn't seem to be afraid of the stories, she was always looking for an adventure. "Just a second" Stacey said. "Let's check out the Fear Street woods and then we'll go, I promise." Anna didn't really want to check the Fear Street woods out, but she figured it sure beat standing on the cold dark street by herself. "Okay, but let's try to hurry, I don't want to be out here any longer than I have to." Anna said. The moon cast the shadows down onto the street making it appear to look almost like an illusion making every second become eerier.

As they reached the edge of the woods a sudden blood curdling scream filled the air. "What was that?" asked Anna. "Did someone just scream?" "I bet it's those boy's trying to scare us." Stacey said. "I'm gonna show them just what scared really is." Anna started to object, but Stacey had already taken off through the woods. "Wait for me," Anna started to say, but before she could get it out a dark shadow emerged from behind the trees. Stacey stopped dead in her tracks as the shadow slowly raised the knife. It's shiny cold sharp steel glaring from the moonlight, and then an evil and confident voice broke the silence "Run."
