Raindrops For Her Teardrops.
Disclaimer:
Well unfortunately, I do not own any part of this story that you recognise. However, If you don't it is completely and utterly mine.
Possibly.
She busies herself with the flowers that she bought in the market a little while ago, before sitting down. She knows he's watching her and she can almost hear him sighing next to her, waiting for her to start talking to him. He never was a very patient man. It must have been growing up as an only child. He always expected everyone's attention to be completely focused on him. Spoilt brat.
When she does start talking, she doesn't give him a chance to talk back. She never does. Because she knows he's not really listening. She just lets the words float on the wind, hoping that they will end up reaching his ears.
"I saw Luna at the market today, she had her baby. We haven't been invited to the christening. Well I have, but I don't think the invite has been extended to you though, I warned you about making a scene at her wedding but you had to laugh didn't you? You couldn't bite you lip. And don't give me all that crap about the funniest vows you have ever heard. Because they were sweet, Ok? If you have ever asked me to marry you, I would have asked you to write your own vows and I bet that you would have gone to Neville to ask help with them."
She wrinkles her nose. " At least I hoped you would. I don't think Crabbe or Goyle ever had much of a way with words and if you had asked Blaise they would have been littered with sexual innuendo and don't you deny that! We would have been kicked out the church." She gave a small smile imaging the scenario. "It would have been nice to make a scene wouldn't it?"
She sighs. "You should have asked me to marry you. I would have said yes. Then maybe I could have some title now. You do realise people don't acknowledge me when I go to the functions that you organised don't you? They just look down at me because I am a Weasley. See? You should have given me your surname then at least I would have had some rights. Like for instance on this gravestone, I could have put the words 'a beloved husband' . And what's on there instead?! I know you have seen what Blaise put on there."
She folds her arms, and then shakes her head. "I bet you bloody well asked him to put it on there! You couldn't have something nice could you? Had to go out with a bang! I reckon that's why you jumped in front of Ron in the battle. You jumped in front of Ronald. The one person you hated more than Hermione but less than Harry. You're an idiot." She shakes her head once more, her tones drops from frustration to sadness with a beat of her heart. "I'll never forgive you for that. You realise he died anyway. So I lost two of the most important to me instead of just one." A tear fell down her cheek. Just as a raindrop ran down the cool granite slab in front of her.
"I going to take this rain as a sign that you are crying also. I'm going to go now because I know how much you hate it when people know you are crying."
She kisses her two fingers and presses then to the grey stone. "I love you, I be back again tomorrow. I promise."
She stands and smoothes out her skirts , as the rain starts beating down on her red hair, her own tawny eyes filling up with tears.
She walks two steps , before glancing back over her shoulder and smiling at the engraving on the stone.
Draco Malfoy
1980-2000
He played both sides.
(in a non-sexual way)
But was only loyal to one heart.
What a great guy.
"You really were." She continues walking. The rain stops and the sun comes out and she realises he's listening.
