"My Son, I have always told you to be ready for anything." Loki and Odin, King of Asgard walked along the rainbow bridge, towards the portal. Loki looked down at his feet as he stepped, one step, the bridge lit up orange beneath his foot, another step and it lit up green. Odin had asked for Loki's presence. He needed to reveal news to him, news that would change Loki's future.

"This may be difficult to hear… Loki, you will always be a son to me, I've raised you and have cared for you. Loki… I am not your father." Loki gazed up at Odin in horror and then back to his feet that stood stationary on the colourful surface. His sleek dark fringe hung above his eyes. Millions of questions daunted him within seconds. Odin continued to explain, "Many years ago your mother disrespected me in a way that midgardians would call an 'affair'. Shortly after she gave birth to Thor, she made love to another man, a mortal man from Midgard, yet he is not a normal midgardian… He is a wizard. The affair ended and your mother returned to me. I forgave her for her disloyalty. Nine months later you came to us. Loki you are not just an Asgardian… you're a wizard Loki." Young Loki was utterly confused about what he was being told.
"What is a wizard?" Loki inquired his adoptive father. Loki and Odin continued on their journey to the portal. Odin explained in detail about wizards and witches on the way. As Odin finished the explanation, the two arrived at their destination.

"At the age of eleven, witches and wizards begin their schooling away from the rest of the midgardians. Loki, this is the year you turn eleven on midgard. It is now time that you leave Asgard and attend a witch and wizarding school." As he said this, the gatekeeper twisted the sword that acted as a key and the portal awoke. A small creature with long pointed ears and eyes the size of golf balls appeared next to them.
"Hello," the creature greeted them, bowing low in respect.
"Loki, this Winky the house elf," Odin introduced them. Loki eyed the elf in disgust, it only wore sheet around itself. Both the elf and its garments were covered in filth. The creature was absurd, Loki had never seen anything like it.
"Winky here is going to help you prepare to go to your school, Hogwarts." Odin clarified.
"You expect me to go with this, this… thing! While Thor stays here with you and eventually rules?" Loki was outraged by this sudden abandonment and jealous of his courageous brother. Odin looked down at this son with sad and sorry eyes. He nodded his head towards the gatekeeper, who at once turned the sword again and with a flash of light Loki and the elf were gone. Odin gave a sigh, a tear formed in his eye. He knew that adjusting in the wizarding world would be hard for Loki. He thanked the gatekeeper and returned to his throne alone.
