Quick one-shot. I was bored.
In Flames
"Go, go, go!" the leader of the family, Rita screamed at the top of her lungs.
Normally the house was not this loud at 3 in the morning. Most neighbors would think they are bat shit, and call 5-0.
Lori and Leni ran down stairs that were falling apart, creaking loud as hell with even the slightest step they would make.
"Luan, come on!" Luna said, helping her sister out of bed as they made a break for the window. The hallway was engulfed in flames. It felt like a fucking sauna everywhere in the house. Thick, smoky air.
Luna elbowed the window and broke it, causing glass to fly into her arm. A tear managed to escape her eye as blood fell on the ground. The prankster grabbed a rope and got ready to climb out.
"Luan! You gotta hold on!" Luna said while grasping onto the rope for dear life. Those were her final words before the rope slipped out of the clumsy hands of Luan, and Luna had a free fall from the 2nd story of the house. She landed right on her neck, and with a wimper, she passed out.
"Shit! Luna!" Luan screamed to the unresponsive rocker. She somehow knew that Luna wasn't going to be waking up, and her death was HER fault. She felt like shit. It never crossed through her mind what it would be like to kill. The bloodlust from it was almost enjoyable. Luan broke into the hall, running through smoke and flames along with the athlete and goth of the house. The twins and Lisa were coming out of their rooms, but no sign of Lincoln yet.
"Get Lincoln! Someone!" Lynn screamed, as Lucy dashed to his room.
She broke down the door where she saw Lincoln putting on his shoes.
"Are you kidding me? The house is on fire! You need to run!" Lynn screamed, actually stopping form the fire. Everyone, sans Lincoln escaped a la the stairs.
Lincoln was running out when he heard the unmistakable screams of an infant. He panicked as he sprinted into Lisa's room, where she had left the child to die. Lincoln picked up and comforted the infant, before opening the door to roaring flames that were spreading quickly.
"Shoot!" Lincoln said, climbing out onto the roof.
He looked down at the ground, and screamed for help.
This is when the roof collapsed from beneath his feet. He held on to Lily tight and tears swelled his eyes as he fell onto the hard floor of the living room, right into fire.
All the loud family could do was listen to the screams. Lincoln's father, Lynn Sr. made a break for the house, trying to save Lincoln, while Rita was trying to calm down a hysterical Luan to find out what happened.
Lynn Sr. entered the house to find his only son and baby burned to death. It looked painful.
Lynn escaped with his life, as the house fell apart. Only now did the fire crew arrive.
Three graves rested in the park, three big tombstones.
"A future rock star"
"A he
"An angel"
Nobody was around the graves. It was dead silence other than the birds chirping, and a police car rushing over to the destroyed house.
