Just a what-if fic. What if Allura didn't absolutely destroy Lotor? The rest of season six would go a lot differently.
The kiss was deep and passionate, and more than enough. Allura and Lotor walked out of the room, to face the paladins. They looked serious... too serious maybe. Weapons whirred and Keith and presumably another Galran stepped behind Lotor, their weapons trained on them.
"What what's going on?" Allura asked, fear written on her face.
"Allura," Lance began. "Step away from Lotor."
"I will do no such thing." Allura shielded Lotor with her body. "Tell me what's happening here."
The third Altean in the room piped up. "Lotor is a monster and has been harvesting Altean quintessence for generations!"
"An Altean!" Allura gasped.
"You killed my brother and thousands of others," THe Altean accused.
"Lotor has been lying to us the whole time. He's a murderer, just like his father!"
Pain was stricken on both Lotor and Allura's face. "You know nothing about what you speak."
"What are they talking about?" Allura looked up at Lotor in despair, looking for answers.
"Allura, listen to me," Lotor pleaded. "I've dedicated my life to preserving Altean culture. Now that we have unlocked the quintessence field, all of your people, who would have been hunted down long ago had it not been for my intervention, can live in peace." Allura was confused and almost angry.
"Were some lives lost in the process? Yes. But they were martyrs to a noble cause. I sacrificed a few to preserve the future for millions. Allura, do not let this ruin everything we've worked for! Think of what we experienced in the quintessence field." He put his hand on hers and she looked away.
"Lotor, why?" Tears welled up in her eyes, waiting for an answer. "You lied to me?"
"I'm sorry, I really am-" Just then the alarms started blaring. Lotor grabbed Allura's hand protectively.
"The hangar's been breached!" Coran explained.
"My troops!" Lotor said in disgust. "They're stealing the ships!"
Shiro then bent down, grabbing his head as if in serious pain.
"Shiro?" Keith asked.
Everyone was screaming at him, asking if he was ok.
Then, Lance took charge. "Allura, Lotor, and I will help secure the ship. Hunk, help Shiro. Everyone else, get down to the hangar and stop those guys."
Shiro grunted, then attacked Hunk.
"Shiro, what are you-" He then knocked Lance out and threw his Bayard at Allura, where Lotor pushed her out of the way and the two were on the ground, but Lotor didn't move.
"Lotor?" Allura gasped to see the Bayard stuck in his side, bleeding out. "Lotor!"
Shiro then came up to the two, punching Allura in the face, and grabbing Lotor. Then, he walked out of the door.
Oof this sucks should I even continue?
