"Do re mi fa sol la ti do."

Robin's ears perked as he heard the clear, alto voice echo through the Cave's amazing acoustics as he stepped out of the zeta beams. He prowled silently through the hallways, trying to locate the owner of that melodious voice.

The Cave was empty until Robin reached Zatanna's room, the door opened a crack. He leaned against the doorframe and listened to her practice her scales a few more times before playing a track with no accompaniment and just singing by herself.

"I need another story
Something to get off my chest
This life is kind of boring
I need something I can confess.

Til all my sleeves are stained red,
From all the truths that I've said
Come by it honestly, I swear
Thought you saw me wink, no, I've been on the brink so

Tell me what you want to hear
Something that were like those years
I'm sick of all the insincere
So I'm gonna I've all my secrets away

This time, don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics ever jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away."

Robin leaned farther into the door as she ended the verse and grew quieter. Before he could stop himself, Robin fell against the door and slammed it all the way open, falling into Zatanna's room.

"Um... hi," he said sheepishly, peering at her past dark glasses that still couldn't hide his obvious embarrassment. "You're an amazing singer," he added sincerely as he clambered up.

Zatanna blushed a brilliant red. "Thanks," she quietly. "You— you were listening?"

Robin rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Heh, yea. You should sing more often— you're far better than Wally belting out Coldplay or OneDirection," he said with a small laugh, Zatanna laughing with him. An awkward silence came and knocked on their doors as the laughter quickly died down.

"Hey, um, can you sing Tears in Heaven?" Robin asked suddenly, sounding a bit timid.

"Yea. I don't have the music, though."

"I—it's fine. I just really like the words."

The raven haired girl smiled before breaking out into song.

"Would you know my name, if I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same, if I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong, and carry on
Because I know, I just don't belong here in heaven."

Robin grinned at her. "That's probably my favourite song," he commented.

"I like it too," Zatanna replied.

"I was serious about you singing more, though. You're amazing, Zee! And everyone knows Wally can't sing."

Zatanna chewed her bottom lip, thinking about it for a moment.

"We'll see," she said simply, but the answer made the Boy Wonder's grin grow even wider.

My next little drabble will be titled 7-UP. Look out for it, a'ight? ;D
