Blaine led Kurt to the side of the deck that overlooked Central Park. New York City really was a site to behold on any night; but tonight, it was going to be extra special. They had had a quiet dinner, just the two of them, as per any night really, Blaine had cooked Kurt's favourite meal, Lasagne, and they had washed it down with an expensive bottle of red wine that Kurt had given Blaine. As they strode hand in hand to the 'Top of the rock'; no odd looks were given to them. The air was full of couples kissing on sidewalks, heading out for a romantic dinner, queues at the convenience stores for the condoms that everyone would be in need of tonight. Up until Blaine had met Kurt three years ago at his friend Rachel's wedding, he never would have thought he would be sharing Valentine's Day with anyone quite so amazing. It had been love at first sight for both of them, and here they were, strong as ever.

Blaine's plan was about to come into action, now to select the lucky photographer. He noticed a British sounding tourist getting photographed by the edge. Perfect. "Excuse me miss," he asked politely. She clearly looked taken aback, he was certainly good looking. Kurt smirked. "Do you reckon you could take a photo of me and my boyfriend?" Blaine continued. The British woman's smoulder shrunk off her face.

"Of course," she replied.

"Perfect" Blaine muttered under his lips. This was it. Courage, he reminded himself.

The woman began to snap the picture, but was held briefly by his sudden movement. She realised what was going on and smiled, and continued to take the photo, completely stunned by the sight in front of her. Blaine was down on one knee. Kurt looked down at him in a state of happiness, shock and confusion. Blaine laughed and said, with every ounce of confidence. "Kurt Elizabeth Hummel, from the first moment I saw you; I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you." He smiled. "I love you, and I always will, I don't give a fuck what anyone says about us, I want to be there for you to wake up next to every morning, to hold when things don't go right. And I want it to be legally recognised." Kurt was on the verge of tears he could see.

"Kurt, will you marry me?" Blaine finally said, pulling out a little Tiffany box form his pocket. Inside was a simple gold band, so simple, yet so beautiful. Just like Blaine. The woman continued to smile at the couple and take photos. She was able to make out the whispered response the slimmer boy muttered. "Of course I will you beautiful person, I love you so much."

Kurt pulled Blaine up to his feet, and the two gave each other such a kiss, everyone could not help but smile at.

The two thanked the woman, not a single one of them able to stop smiling. "I think I have a new favourite holiday," Kurt told the lady. "Congratulations," she replied with hope in her voice. There certainly was magic in the polluted city air that night.
