Three Drabbles about Liv and Alex, coffee and cases.

"Liv?" Detective Benson head was resting on her desk, between her arms trying to get a few minutes of shuteye.
Her head snapped up at the mention of her name.
"I'm up! I'm up!" Olivia looked at the person who called her name.
"Oh, its only you Alex."
"Sleeping on the job Detective?"
Olivia rolled her eyes. "Of course not, Counsellor."
Alex held out a coffee for Olivia. "Well, thought you could use this regardless."
Liv accepted the coffee. "Thanks."

Alex was sitting in her office, trying to tie up the loose ends of a paricularly nasty double homicide. The case was airtight when she finished.
There was a knock on her door. She looked at the person in the doorway. It was Olivia.
"Hey Alex. Still here?"
"Obviously, so are you. Why are you here so late?"
"Eh, paperwork. Obviously so are you." Olivia noticed the mound of paperwork on her desk.
Alex looked at her watch. Olivia offered one of the coffees in her hand to the ADA.
"Coffee?"
"Is Detective Benson being nice?"
"Hell yeah, so shut up and enjoy it."
Alex took a sip and let the warm coffee work its magic.

Liv was walking towards the 1-6 precinct with a slightly burnt coffee in her hands. She completely walked past Alex and was rudely intruped from her thoughts.
"Detective."
"Cousnellor."
"Penny for your thoughts?"
"Not worth it."
"Ha. Try me."
"Okay, you asked for it. I was thinking that good coffee is like sex. It is exilherating, great for keeping you awake, and when it's over, you wish you could have it again, but can't, otherwise you are not going to get any sleep, and be a pain in the ass in the morning."
"Arn't you usually?" Olivia death-glared Alex.
"Geez, sorry, but you were right, that thought was not worth a penny. Maybe a dollar if you are lucky, just keep it to yourself."
"Right, Counsellor."
