On this mission, Phyllis only said that they were going to "Bug World". When they zapped in, they were all in a giant forest of grass. Penn was a blue ant, Sashi was a Queen Ant, and Boone was a ladybug.
Sashi (checking the specs): OK, we're members of an Ant Colony on a small island called 'Ant Island', except Boone, is a ladybug clown in a traveling bug circus. Our mission is to save the colony from a mean and oppressive gang of grasshoppers who have been feeding off the island's food supply. We're currently split up amongst duties; I have to be with the grasshoppers, Boone and the rest of the circus have to distract the grasshoppers and get the queen away from the leader (who wants to kill her as an example to the colony) and Penn has to lead a group of young ant escapees to operate a mechanical bird puppet hidden in the huge tree.
And so, they all do their parts. Sashi rendezvous with Rippen and Larry (as gang leaders Hopper and Molt), Boone and the rest of the bug circus comes in to perform, and Penn leads a group of little girl ants on a climb up the tree towards the bird puppet. By the time Penn reaches the bird, a praying-mantis magician takes the stage and chooses the queen as a volunteer to get her out of danger. When his gypsy moth assistant pops up and flaps her wings in a signal, Penn and the girls launch the bird. And for a while it seems to work, Rippen, Larry, and the gang run about in fear as the ants and circus bugs run and scream to play along.
However, the flea leader of the circus who didn't know about the plan took a lit match and set the bird on fire. Penn purposely crashes it to get everyone out safely and Rippen has him beat up by a mad grasshopper.
Rippen: Let this be a lesson to all you ants. Ideas are very dangerous things, you're mindless soil-sucking losers, put on this planet to serve us bigger bugs.
Penn: You're wrong, Rippen. Ants are not meant to serve grasshoppers. Every creature in this world, not matter how big or small has a purpose in the world for themselves, and one of them is to survive. Ants don't serve grasshoppers, they're a lot stronger than you say and you know it.
Rippen angrily knocks Penn down and tries to squish him under his foot, but Sashi runs in his path stopping him. Larry told Rippen to look at the ants, who were all look mad at him.
Rippen: You ants stay back!
But they didn't, the Queen Ant, Boone and the circus bugs, and the whole colony wrapped their arms together and stepped forward.
Sashi (flying into Rippen's face): You see, Rippen, nature has a certain order: The ants pick the food, the ants keep the food, and the grasshoppers leave.
Thousands of ants (and the circus bugs) charge at the grasshoppers, who (except for Larry) run off leaving Rippen behind. With Larry stomped underfoot, the ants put Rippen in the circus cannon to shoot him off the island. When suddenly, a huge rainstorm comes down, forcing the colony to take shelter in the ant hill. Rippen then escapes the cannon and grabs Penn and flies off. Boone tries to lead the circus bugs on a chase, but they get stuck in the branches. Then, Sashi comes up and snatches Penn away and they flies to a nearby creek beyond the island.
When Rippen catches up to them, he backs them up into the brush and grabs Penn by the throat.
Rippen: You may have thwarted my plan here Penn Zero, but I still win if I get rid of you. Then I'll get more grasshoppers to take back the island next season.
Suddenly, a real bird rose up over them. Rippen tried to flee, but the bird took him in its beak and fed him to her babies. Penn and Sashi both covered their eyes just before zapping out.
