Hey everybody! ^^ I decided I wanted to write a poem for SasuSaku, so I wrote this piece of crap. ^^ Since I wrote both a songfic and a poem for NaruSaku, I wanted to do the same for SasuSaku, my OTP. Anyway, not much to say about this one. ^^ Anyway, I do not own Naruto. Enjoy! ^^
Footsteps
Fast
Slow
Getting softer
Quieter
Louder
My heart is pounding
As I sit still
Fearfully watching you
As you step past me
My eyes wide
As you walk further
And further away from me
I have to stop you
The radiance that circles you aimlessly
It isn't your strength
I can feel it
Tainting your spirit
Burning your mind
Stabbing your heart
Why do I hesitate?
Is it because I'm afraid of you?
I have to stop you
I lift myself off the ground
My voice ripping from me
Slicing through the air
As I run at you
My arms outstretched
But you keep walking
Can't you hear me?
I embrace you tightly
Your footsteps falling silent

My tears running
Down the sides of my face
My green eyes scream
Silently
As your black and red irises
Face me
Confused
Angry
Hurt
"Don't do it...Please..."

I can feel your heart slow
I can hear your breathing get weaker
I can see your beautiful eyes close
You fall limp
Toward the ground
And I lay my arm across your back

Hopeless
"Sasuke…"
Your eyes flash to mine
Black irises
Solid
Whole
Beautiful
Your face softens
Your bangs blowing into it
Vulnerable
Defenseless

I feel safe
Protected
Cradled
Saved
You saved me
As I saved you
Maybe
I'm not hopeless after all
