It's been a month after the three National Guard survivors (of the hills have eyes 2) came back to Baltimore. In the Young household Katelyn "Kay" Young wonders on where her older brother Delmar is and why he hasn't come back yet. Meanwhile while she is in school a deadly fire takes her adoptive parents and siblings lives. A student who's nephew to Napoleon stumble across Kay before that, and she ends up being taken in by Amber, Napoleon and Missy, all while finding out the truth about what happened to Delmar, seeing his guardian angel and falling in love with Marco, this truly is the Love Of An angel
My name is Kay; I am adopted into an African American family and I couldn't be happier, they're everything I could have asked for. Telesha; she's my mom, she works as a nurse in the clinic up the road. Then there's jack my dad hes a cop for Baltimore Police Department. Then my little sister Aisha, she's only in kindergarten but she's still my little butterfly. And then there is my hero; my older brother Delmar Thompson Young, hes a National Guard soldier. He went off to his two-week training…a month ago. He hasn't come home yet. I still write my letters hoping that maybe, just maybe he would write back, But so far… nothing. I walked down my stairs ready for school. " Hey mama." I said hugging my mom. "hey Sweet-one." Telesha said. Kissing my forehead "any letters?" I asked in hopes that Delmar wrote back. "no sweetie, nothing yet." She said with a sadden expression on her face. i heard the horn honking for the bus out the window. "I have to go, love y'all see ya later!" but I was wrong. In the amount of time school took, a devastating fire took my home and my family, again. Meanwhile my day was good…except for this morning on the bus. "hey its the black girl wannabe!" Amanda said. "careful manda, she might get her big black gangster brother to come shoot us!" Caitlin said in fake fear. "hey, lay off of Delmar, he has more guts in one bicep then any of you do in your scrawny little things you call bodies." I said. "oh and my family may be black, but they aren't like that." I said defensively. "yeah, leave her alone, grow up and stop so damn racist. Im Italian, does that mean your gonna shun me cuz I aint American?" I heard a voice say and that voice would soon become so familiar, so warm, so soothing. It was the deep voice of Marco Del Rossi. Soon his aunt and her two friends would take me in to protect me from having to go back to an orphanage, I never want to see an orphanage again, but most importantly I would find out what exactly happened to Delmar.
