She had no idea why. Or how. But Kaede realized that she'd gained an admirer. And not in a good way.
It all started one day while she was sitting on the rooftop with Shuichi. While they were talking, she heard faint footsteps coming up the stairs. She expected it to be another loner who wanted to be alone. But instead she sawi him. Rantarou Amami. At the time, Kaede had no clue who he was. Another person. No one she'd think to talk to. But he casually walked up to them and sat next to Kaede.
"Good afternoon, Akamatsu-San, Saihara-Kun." He greeted calmly, and the latter proceeded to look at him in confusion.
"Who are you?" Shuichi asked, a bit insensitive, nonetheless what they were wondering.
"I'm Rantarou Amami. Nice to meet you." He replied, looking completely calm somehow. As if they were old childhood friends. Like they'd forgotten him, somehow.
"O-Oh, alright. Nice to meet you, Amami-kun-"
"Please, call me Rantarou~" He chuckled a bit, and leaned against the wall that they sat against. He stayed quiet after that.
The next day, he came back to the pair, like it was normal. They greeted him as they would to anyone just to be polite. But it confused them, Kaede especially, as to why he was with them and why he wanted to be on first-name basis.
This continued for about a week before the two decided to move where they say. That only lasted so long though. He found them after a matter of time.
"Thank goodness I found you! I didn't know where I would go if I hadn't. Why'd you move?" He asked, and sat down beside them.
"O-Oh, we were worried about getting in trouble...!" Kaede said quickly, to which a pout appeared on Rantarou's face.
"You could've told me. I sit right behind you in class." He muttered, somewhat offended.
"Oh, i-is that so?"
And so began what felt like a living nightmare for Kaede Akamatsu.
