*Bounce like Death* Hello everyone! Welcome to Fear. If you clicked the link, I know what you're here for. I hope you enjoy the story. I don't remember reading any stories of Asura eating Vajra, so I decided to write one. Vajra isn't in the character list.

Asura chewed at his fingernails, 'I don't want to lose him. I don't want to be alone. I don't want to go back to being recognized as lord Death's son. I want to be seen as me. Father won't want me if I lose him. He'll kill me. I don't want to die. I don't want to die. Why is Vajra the only one who doesn't mock me? Vajra's nice, he doesn't try to make me scared. He doesn't talk about me behind his back. Death…I don't want to lose my friend.'
Asura then did something that only a shinigami could do.
Grab ahold of madness*.
Asura slightly relaxed as he felt the madness wash over him, erasing most of his fears. One fear didn't leave, Asura's greatest fear. Losing his best friend, his weapon, his partner, Vajra.
Asura was always nervous when Vajra left him. He was scared that Vajra would come back saying that he found a new partner, or not at all.
That last thought made Asura shudder, Vajra was the reason Asura had any confidence, Vajra encouraged Asura to use his powers as a shinigami, not fear them.
That took a lot of prodding from Vajra, as Asura was sure that using his shinigami powers would kill his father. Asura was scared of losing his father, even if they weren't close.
Asura grabbed his head and whispered to himself, "I don't want to be alone. I don't want to be alone. I don't want to be alone. I don't want to be alone. I'm so scared. I don't want to be alone. I wish I wasn't always scared. I wish I could live with madness forever, I wish that one day, I won't kill father.**"
Suddenly, a voice asked, "Is everything all right, Asura?"
Normally, anything sudden would cause Asura to jump and get into a defensive position.
Not this time.
This voice, and the person it belonged to, always calmed Asura's nerves. Vajra.
Asura turned to face his partner, "Everything's fine. Thanks Vajra." Vajra sighed, "Have you been using madness to calm yourself again?"
Asura blinked, not that his partner could see it, "Err…how did you know?" Vajra gave his meister a small smile, "Because I know you, you're my partner, you don't have to hide anything from me. We're best friends."
Asura nodded, "I was scared. I don't want to lose you."
Vajra bent down and put a hand on Asura's shoulder, "Don't worry, I promise I'll never leave you."
Asura responded, "B-but I'm going to be the next shinigami. I'm going to live forever! You're mortal, you're…not." The last word was whispered, but it had a big effect on Vajra.
Vajra hugged Asura, "We'll deal with that another time. We have to go now, lord Death sent me to get you." Vajra then turned into a weapon, "Let's go, Asura."
Asura then had an idea about how to remove his fear of losing Vajra, he picked up his weapon, and brought Vajra to his mouth.
Asura ignored his partner's questions and started putting Vajra in his throat.
When the deed was done, Asura grinned, 'Now I'll never be alone.'
