Prep: Okay, I have some minor changes in Konoha okay? Basically, this happens during the timeskip. The gang are 13. Konoha is near the coast and has a port. Hinata's father is cheerful because she impressed him in the Chuunin exams against Neji. Sakura and Ino are good friends like after the Chuunin exams (again). When writing in italics is like 'this' it is a thought. When it has these it is a sound/sound effect. Well, that's about it….
CHAPTER ONE: Pickles and bathtubs.
RING! RING! RING! RING! RING! "Okay, okay I'm coming…." Naruto sighed. He walked swiftly out of the bathroom wearing a towel and shower cap. "Hello, Naruto speaking" He said in a slightly annoyed voice. "Naruto, it's me, Tsunade." The voice said commandingly "Oh, Hi Granny Tsunade!" He replied happily "Now's not the time… Ton-ton and Shizune are missing. It's a special mission for you. Come quick." She stated hesitantly. "Okay, I'm on it!" He shouted before hanging up and running out while hastily changing.
"Hey!!! Anyone here? Tsunade!!!" He shouted running into the tower. He arrived in Tsunade's personal Suite "Tsun-- SHIZUNE!!!!" He shouted hugging the surprised secretary. "Hello Naruto, glad you came…" Called out Tsunade herself. "HEY!! YOU SAID SHE WAS MISSING!!!" Growled the angry Kyuubi boy. "They aren't…. I needed you for something else you wouldn't do but… You may as well since you're here." She said triumphantly. "What? What is it?" He asked. "Well, Kakashi's special pickle, the big one, Bob has disappeared… He's too upset to work. You have to find it." She told him briefly "I'll get it…" He mumbled turning around.
"GOT IT!!!" He shouted as he ran into the tower a while later. "It was under his bed!" He called out. "BOB HAS COME BACK TO ME!!!!" Kakashi squealed as he lunged at Naruto. "Here Kakashi-sensei!!" The blonde boy called out handing Kakashi his overly large vegetable. "Arigatou Naruto-san!!!" Said Kakashi hugging his friend Bob. "Sooo… Now what?" Asked Naruto expectantly. "Well, I guess you could go home. Here's your payment." She said calmly throwing a small bundle at him. "Wow! Great pay! Thanks, Granny Tsunade!" He called running for the door. "STOP CALLING ME THAT!!!" She snapped angrily at Naruto.
'Oh, Thank God for bed….' He thought walking up to his home. 'Water under the door..' He thought perplexedly looking down at his wet feet. 'Meh… Probably some kid spilt some on the way past..' He said to himself. "Home at La--" He said but was engulfed by water. Knocking him unconscious, it carried him through the streets of his beloved village….
