Yes, I made another one, even though I'm still working on my other one.
Disclaimer: If you think I own Alice In Wonderland, or any of the characters, you're crazy. :)
"You could stay" I hear the madman say from behind me. The madman I've known for years, yet just had come to know in the past few days. It has been a few days, hasn't it? Time in Underland was very tricky, even for the inhabitants. Here I ran away from my proposal, fell down that all to familiar rabbit hole, in to a world that obviously wasn't real. I've been scratched by a hideous beast, encountered a mischievous feline with the widest grin I've ever seen, been to a tea party with teacups and saucers that fly above your head, that is, if you manage to duck in time. I rode a hat, deceived people by the cover of Um, was seduced by the creep that is the Knave, and ran away to Marmoreal riding that same beast that scratched me. I've had a comforting conversation with the Hatter while under the moonlight, realized this wasn't a dream, slain a Jabberwocky, all whilst falling in… No, it couldn't be, could it? Falling in love with the Hatter? Am I in love with the Hatter?-
"What an idea. A crazy, mad, wonderful idea." I hear myself say aloud. Crap, Alice, you stupid girl, what have you done, I think while looking at the smile emerging from the Hatter's face. "But I can't." I manage to say. I just can't find a happy-medium, can I? His smile sinks into a frown. "I have questions I have to answer. Things I have to do." I add. I look at his sorrowful frown and try to think something up to see that heartbreaking frown go away. I just can't stand it. Even though it's only been a few days, he's the best friend I've ever had. "I'll be back again before you know it." I smile, meaning every word.
"You won't remember me." he sighs. How can he say that! "Of course I will! You're my best friend! How can I forget?" I absent-mindedly pull him into a hug. Once he realizes I'm hugging him, he hugs me back, and I smile as his work-weathered hands gently stroke my back. I don't want to pull away, and I'm sensing neither does he. I reluctantly part from him, and I notice him sigh. I can't help but giggle. "For some reason, I knew you wouldn't stay." he groans. "So I made you something to remember me by." he says, reaching into his coat pocket. He pulls out a plush doll of himself. I smile as he hands it to me. "Now you can throw your own Mad Tea Parties. Just don't get too wild, you naughty Alice." he smirks. I laugh and give him another hug.
As I part from him, I down the Jabberwocky blood. "Thank you for the gift, I'll cherish it forever." I smile. His face is the opposite of mine. I can tell that he couldn't stand to watch me drink that blood. It wasn't easy for me to drink it either, Hatter. I knew I forgot something. "Hatter, why is a raven like a writing desk?" I ask. He smiles. "I haven't the slightest idea." he chuckles. I smile for the riddle remains unsolved. He leans forward and whispers in my ear, "Fairfarren, Alice."
He pulls away, and I can feel the Jabberwocky blood working. As Underland starts fading, I realized I made a mistake. I tightly clench my Hatter doll, and I start falling up the rabbit hole. Falling up, what an odd concept.
