Holding Out for A Hero

Where have all the good men gone...

And where are all the gods...

Where's the street-wise Hercules

To fight the rising odds

My hero was Riku, he was the one who wanted to sail out to sea... He was the one who gave me the paopu fruit... He was the one who used the Darkness to save Kairi ... Even though it was wrong to use the Darkness... He did it his own way.

Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed...

Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need...

What I needed was a hero. My hero had to be the one who protects me and my friends... Well, Riku did protect Donald and Goofy, in a special way. I wish he didn't ...

I need a hero

I'm holding out for a hero till the end of the night

He's gotta be strong

And he's gotta be fast

And he's gotta fresh from the fight...

I regretted fighting Riku, even though he was possessed by Ansem. In his heart, I knew he had a pure one, made of light. He didn't want this... He just wanted to save Kairi... like a hero ...

I need a hero

I'm holding out for a hero till the morning light

He's gotta be sure

And it's gotta be soon

And he's gotta be larger than life...

Now, I'm also a hero. I helped save Kairi and she saved my heart. We are both happy now... but we often think about Riku and his heroic acts... Even to kill a friend is still a hero to himself...
