Black belt
Aria Montgomery enter a large room at the Rosewood Martial Arts Centre.
"Hi, Master Kendrick." says Aria.
"Hi, Aria." says Lance Kendrick, black belt and vice chief instructor for Rosewood karate team.
"Sensei, I've not been here in a while, but I'd like to have an opportunity to earn my black belt this summer." says Aria.
"I think that can happen." says Lance.
"Thanks, sir." says Aria.
"You're welcome." says Lance.
Aria goes to a small nearby room and change into a tight black tank top and baggy white sweatpants.
She then return to the large room.
"All ready, master." says Aria.
Lance, who know Aria's skill level in karate, set up a thick piece of wood on a stand.
"Let me see if you can still break this in a single kick, like you did last time." says Lance.
Aria use a perfect karate kick to easy break the piece of wood.
"Well done. That was no problem for you. Moving on to something slightly harder." says Lance as he set up another piece of wood, twice as thick. "Can you deal with this, Aria?"
"I'll try..." says Aria.
Aria manage to kick the thick piece of wood in half.
"Very good. You've not lost any skill. I believe you've gotten better." says Lance.
"Thanks." says a happy Aria.
"Now let's try a punch." says Lance.
"Okay." says Aria.
Lance set up a rather thin piece of wood, since he know that Aria's strength in karate is primarily kicks, not punches, but Aria still need to show some skill with punches as well to get to black belt status.
"Here goes..." says Aria as she throw a powerful punch.
The piece of wood breaks.
"Really good, Aria. Last time this is where you failed. You must've gained at least a couple pound mucles in the right places." says Lance.
"I've done my best to get in good shape." says Aria. "It's very useful for havin' great stamina in bed, when ya have sex, as well as for a bunch of other things."
"I understand." says Lance.
The next day.
"Aria, would you like to join the team? There's an open spot now that Kelly Granger has left." says Lance.
"That would be interesting and good, but I don't have the time." says Aria.
"Okay." says Lance. "We know that you can break wood just fine, but today we're going to try something more advanced."
"I'm ready." says Aria.
Lance set up a brick and shows Aria how to kick it.
He then set up a second one for Aria.
Aria try to kick it. Her foot does not get hurt, but she fail to break the brick.
"Damn!" says Aria, slightly mad at herself for being unable to kick the brick properly.
"Don't worry. Few people can do this the first time." says Lance.
"Okay." says Aria with a sweet smile.
Aria try again and she manage to break the brick without any problem.
"Perfect. I'm very impressed." says Lance.
"Thanks. I may be small, but I'm stronger than I appear to be." says Aria.
"Very true." says Lance.
5 weeks later.
All of those in Rosewood who practice karate at the MAC has gathered for Aria's promotion to black belt status.
Aria wear a white karate outfit.
"Aria Jennifer Montgomery, as the second highest ranked sensei of this dojo I hereby promote you to black belt, a true karate expert. You may now call yourself a professional." says Lance as he hand Aria her black belt.
"Thank you, Sensei Kendrick." says a happy Aria.
"You've worked hard for it. I truly believe that you deserve it, Miss Montgomery." says Lance.
"I'm glad ya think so, sir." says Aria.
Aria put on the belt.
2 hours later.
"Congratualtions, Aria." says Spencer.
"Thanks, Spence." says Aria.
"You're welcome." says Spencer.
"I'm glad ya support me." says Aria.
"Of course, always." says Spencer.
Aria and Spencer drink wine to celebrate.
