Draco leaned into the oak tree. His arms lazily crossed over his chest. His eyes darted every which way, searching for the familiar tousled black hair. Draco couldn't believe he was doing this, meeting him in broad daylight. They could be seen.
He finally gave up his cocky act and began nervously pacing. He wiped his palms on his trousers and stared at the ground counting his steps. "One, two, three, four, five. One, two, three, four, five." He whispered.
"Wha-What are you doing?" Harry asked a laugh in his voice. "You're going to wear a line in the ground!" Draco stopped mid-step and turned to face him.
"I was uh, just, oh nothing." Draco said, once again wiping his palms on his trousers. Draco stood there awkwardly, just staring at Harry, trying to take every detail in. The way his dark black hair fell just above his glasses, the way he would reach up and ruffle the back of his head when he was nervous, making his already messy hair every more untidy. The glint the sun made in his glasses, the sharp green of his mother's eyes. Even the way his shirt was half untucked and his trousers were a bit too big.
Draco sighed and walked to him, pulling Harry in his arms. All he wanted was to feel him against him, the beating of his heart and the feel of Harry's arms around his body. The two held each other close, as if there was no one else in the world.
"Why now? Why in broad daylight?" Draco asked, his voice muffled by Harry's hair. He wasn't taller than him anymore, Harry had shot up a few inches. Draco breathed in deeply, the familiar smell of sweat and books filled him. Harry had been in the library, probably with Granger.
"I just didn't want to wait until tonight. I had a free period, one that nearly everyone else has full. I thought this would be the perfect chance to see you.." Harry said, his eyes closed and his hands pulling at Draco's shirt, as if trying to hold him even closer. Draco laughed lightly.
"Well. It doesn't matter does it, really? Who cares what people think. All I care about is being with you." Draco held Harry in front of him and stared into those green eyes. Those bright green eyes that made him fall for the Chosen One all those years ago.
