Timeline: Set after Jayden's Challenge.

Disclaimer: I don't own Power Rangers. They belong to Saban.

Emily was sat in the training yard, watching the sun sink behind the wall of the Shiba House, with her Spin Sword next to her. She was happy to have Jayden back, but something was still bothering her. Her mind began to wonder back to the Mooger attack, when Jayden had taken her Spin Sword from her without even asking, and then just tossing her Earth Disk back to her.

When she heard some light footsteps, she looked back to the house to find Mentor Ji walking towards her. She simply sighed, and heard him clear his throat when he was about a foot behind her.

"Is something bothering you Emily?" he asked with his voice full of concern for his youngest student.

"Sort of. When Jayden took my Spin Sword to try out his new combination attack, I can't help but think he did it because he thinks I'm too weak." She replied, a few tears starting to fall down her face.

"Emily, I cannot speak for Jayden's actions, and so I think you need to speak to him. I will send him out." With that Mentor Ji left the Yellow Ranger to sob gently, holding herself.

A few minutes later, she heard the door slide open and then shut, as another set of footsteps signalled the approach of the Red Ranger. Unlike their mentor, Jayden simply sat down next to her.

"Emily, what's wrong?" He asked carefully, not wanting to upset her anymore.

"I finally worked out why you took my sword to do your combo attack on the Moogers. It's because you think I'm the weakest Ranger, and I'm useless." She said between sobs.

"Emily, you've got it all wrong, I didn't use your sword because I think you're the weakest. IU did it because I knew that even if you couldn't handle any Moogers that got through to you in hand-to-hand combat, then the others would protect you. That and yours was the only sword I could have used." He said, as he looked at her.

She raised her head, and looked her leader in the eyes. "What do you mean, my sword was the only one you could use?" she asked in confusion.

Jayden simply picked up the Spin Sword that was lying between the two of them, and held it up to admire it in the light of the setting sun. "You know how our Spin Swords were used by our ancestors?" Emily simply nodded. "Well all that time with the swords using the same powers over and over again, means that they have taken on some attributes of our elements. Like mine can withstand such extreme temperatures, and Kevin doesn't have to worry about his rusting, no matter how much water it's exposed to."

"And what about mine?" Emily asked.

"Yours grounded the electricity, just like the Earth itself. It I had used any of other swords, then it was just as likely that the lightning disk would have electrocuted me." Jayden said, before he put down the sword and pulled out his Samurizer, drawing a symbol in front of them, before a box of tissues dropped to the ground in front of Emily. She couldn't help but laugh a little at this. "Emily, I don't think you're weak. And I certainly don't think you're useless. I respect everyone on this team, and that includes you. Just think where we would be without you."

"You mean you'd have a one armed Megazord?" she quipped.

"There's the good ol', happy Emily! We're all proud of you. And that includes your sister. Now come on, the others are ordering pizza, and I don't want to let Mike and Kevin order anchovies again."

Emily giggled as they both stood up, and wrapped her arm around Jayden's waist. "Thanks Jayden."

"No problem Emily."
