It was cold and fogey in the morning of November. But that didn't stop the vampire family from having a good day. Emmett and Carlisle were in the kitchen having coffee and reading the newspaper. Bella, Edward, and Renesmee were outside enjoying each other and kicking a ball around.
Jacob walked into the kitchen, opened a window and looked out at the little family, he smiled. Out in the distant he saw a bird heading right towards the window. Before he could shut it the bird flew in and landed right in front of Carlisle. Carlisle jerked his arm out and nocked his coffee cup on the floor and it shattered.
The bird started laughing, Jacob, Emmett, and Carlisle stared but after a while they smiled, it was her. After she stopped laughing turned back into her normal self, she turned back into a human.
As she turned back Bella and Edward walked in. Edward smiled as she turned around he walked up and hug her and she hug back "it's been so long L, how are u?" he asked. She gave him a sad smile, turned around and looked out the window. She bowed her head and took a deep breath and said "I guess I'm okay, but…" Carlisle stood and walked over to her "but what? What happened, and where are your parents?" he asked as he turned her around. He stopped when he saw the tears in her eyes "my parents were killed about a week ago, now I'm all alone and I don't have a place to stay" she whispered.
