I sold my soul to science (true story)
Chapter 1
"Infinity?" The officer accompanying me to Central asks.
"Hmm?" I grunt, not taking my eyes away from the window.
"We're almost here." He reminds me.
I see a sign that says 'Welcome to Central!' in big bold letters.
"Ah. I see. Thank you, officer." I say, and pull on my alchemy robe, zipping it up as the train slowly stops.
"When we arrive, the state alchemist known as the 'Fullmetal Alchemist' will meet up with us and show us the way to your new quarters." He tells me as we prepare to get off.
"What does this...Fullmetal look like?" I ask.
"All I heard is his body is metal."
"I think we'll find him."
We get off, my alchemy robe billowing as I step, the officer trotting behind me. The train station is crowded, but I spot a man in a suit of armor holding a sign that says "Infinity".
"You must be the Infinity Alchemist, correct?" He asks me.
"That is me." I bow slightly to him.
"I'm Alphonse Elric. Nice to meet you, Infinity." He bows back.
"Please, enough with the formalities. My real name is Finley. Finley Marie Zantom." I wave away the formalities.
"Finley, huh? Odd name." Alphonse scratches the back of his head the best he can, considering he's in a suit of armor.
"My parents thought I was a boy. They came up with a middle name at the last second." I smile.
I then notice a boy leaning against the pillar I had met Alphonse at. His blonde hair was in a braid that went to his shoulders, and he looked as if his brain was elsewhere.
"Is he the Fullmetal Alchemist?" I asked Alphonse.
"Mhm. That's my older brother, Edward Elric." He nods.
"One second." I walk over to him. He doesn't notice.
"HEY, FULLMETAL!" I smack him upside the head.
"Wha-HEY! What was that for?!" He turns and yells at me.
"That was for not doing your job!" I yell back.
"Well-wait, how'd you know I was the Fullmetal Alchemist? Usually people think it's him cuz he's taller and literally full metal." The blonde looks at me with a weird expression on his face.
"If he were the Fullmetal, he'd have introduced himself as the Fullmetal Alchemist." I gesture towards the suit of armor beside me.
"And whaddaya mean I didn't do my job? I was here like Mustang wanted." He argues.
"You didn't introduce yourself, much less care that I was here." I say back.
He just waves me off, and I huff. Alphonse sweatdrops. Don't blame him, a couple of angry teenage alchemists can be a handful.
"Can we just get to HQ?" The suit of metal asks.
"Please. One more minute with this crazy bitch is gonna drive me crazy." Edward complains.
My eyebrow twitches. "You better watch what comes out of your mouth, Fullmetal." I spit out.
He turns to stare me down. I glare back with equal intensity.
"Bring it, Infinity."
