There was a knock at Emma's door and Shalimar walked in.
"Hey Em, how are you doing?"
"Isn't that what I should be asking you after what happened with Nikki?"
"I guess."
"You know I'm a little surprised that you haven't held us against it."
"Against what?"
"Against how wrong we all were about her. I mean, we were so resigned by you when you accused Nikki for taking over your life, and in the end that's what she tried to do. Shouldn't you demand an excuse or an 'I told you so' speech?"
"Nah, we have all been victims of mistrust sometimes. As long as everything is fine again, I'm happy."
"Yeah, but I still feel that I should make it up to you somehow. Isn't there anything I can do?"
"Actually you could do one thing for me."
"What?"
Shalimar turned and locked the door, and then walked towards Emma.
"Stand up."
"What?"
"Trust me, just stand up."
Shalimar stopped right in front of her.
"You see, when you hugged her, she left her scent all over you."
"Where are you going with this?"
"Even though it happened a while ago, I can still smell her on you as if she was standing right next to you." Shal carefully moved forward, closing the distance between her and Emma's body. "I just wanna remove that scent from you because it's driving me nuts." She was now so close that their noses almost met.
"You know," Emma said looking from Shal's eyes and down to her lips, "I could just take a shower to get her smell of me."
"Yeah, but I'd much rather do it like this." Shal raised her hand and placed it on Emma's chin before slowly pulling forward so her lips met Emma's. It was soft at first, just an innocent kiss between two insecure people, but when neither seemed to be pulling out of the kiss it deepened. Their lips parted, tongues meeting to explore the new territory. After a while their hands started their own journey over the other person's body. Clothes were being removed to ease the need of physical contact and to more closely examine the other person's body. It was an evening neither one of them would forget for a long time, an evening filled with passion, lust and pleasure.

A good few hours later Shal and Emma lay wrapped in each others embrace, exhausted and drowsy.
They were just about to drift off to sleep when Emma spoke:" I think it's safe to say that Nikki's scent is long gone and replaced with yours."
Shalimar smiled. "Yeah, I think you could say that."
They both started laughing and then Shalimar said:" I love you, you know that?"
"Mmmm, I love you too."
"Goodnight, sweetie."
"Goodnight."

AN2: Many of you probably think that the intimate part sucked, but considering that I'm only 16, I don't dare to try writing about sex. Don't really have much experience in that department either so...
By the way, I was just thinking, if Shal and Emma got together after "Understudy" then how would "At destiny's end" be? Just a thought…bye for now.
