Honestly. Sometimes, Lucy wondered if there was even a brain in that head of his.

"So hot…" Natsu groaned, kicking Lucy's sheets off of him, almost like a child. Though, Lucy found herself surprised - Natsu was… hot? She hadn't even known that was possible. But, to be honest, she hadn't even known Natsu could get sick. In all her years of knowing the Dragon Slayer, she'd not once seen him even a little over-worked.

That boy had a damn fire that no one could measure up to.

Except, apparently, the flu.

Sweat-dropping, Lucy set down a cold clothe on Natsu's forward gently, shaking her head. "Jeez, Natsu," she sighed, looking down at him with a mixture of pity and a bit of amusement. She hated seeing Natsu in pain or in discomfort, but knowing the story behind how exactly this had happened to him was amusing - it was, technically, Natsu's fault.

"Why would you even accept that dare?" Lucy asked, raising a brow as Natsu groggily glanced up to look at her. "You're a fire mage, cold isn't your forte."

"Didn't want to lose to the Ice-Bastard." Natsu groaned, grabbing at his belly and practically growing blue in the face. Lucy tried to calm him down, taking a seat next to him and scooting closer. Letting her hand fall on Natsu's forehead, Lucy pursed her lips, focusing on the task at hand.

Once she was finished, she laid the cold clothe back against Natsu's forehead. "You're definitely hot," she nodded, "even for you."

"Agh!" Natsu whined, grabbing at his vest. "I just want it to go away!" He cried, pulling off his shirt. Lucy sputtered, covering her eyes.

"Don't go stripping like Gray, you pervert!"

"So-Sorry, Luce," Natsu coughed, "i'm just so hot."

Taking a deep breath, Lucy nodded, smiling sympathetically down at him. "It'll be okay, Natsu. You just have a cold. Today should be the worst, and to make it better, you can stay here and i'll take care of you, okay?" Lucy grinned brightly, trying to encourage Natsu. "Happy should be back any minute too, we can have a relaxing 'take care of Natsu day'!"

Natsu chuckled, though weakly, and nodded his head. Reaching over, he grasped the tip of Lucy's finger in his own large hand. "Thank you, Luce." He whispered, suddenly serious. "For taking care of me."

Feeling her cheeks burn slightly, Lucy waved off Natsu. "It's nothing," she laughed nervously, "I mean, last time I was sick, you delivered me a tree. So, it's the least I can do for you."

Natsu grinned, "any chance of that happening?"

"The best I can do is make you that soup you like." Lucy offered, smiling gently. "Plus, it's good for a cold."

Natsu sighed contentedly, "that sounds wonderful."

Nodding, Lucy stood up, letting her hand fall on Natsu's shoulder for a minute. "Of course. I'll get started now." Without another word, Lucy turned and made her way over to the kitchen.

Just before she disappeared from Natsu's vision, he gently called out her name, causing Lucy to pause mid-step. "Yes, Natsu?" She responded, tilting her head cutely.

Natsu coughed lightly, before shrugging. "Never mind."

Lucy raised a brow, "you sure?"

"Yeah," he nodded. "Now, hurry! I'm hungry!"

Lucy scoffed, making her way into the kitchen. "Even when sick, you're still hungry…"

"Thanks…"
