Careless Talk Saves Lives
A/N: This happened to me a few days ago. Exactly the same. Felt sooo sooo hurt. :(
Gabriella and Taylor had been best friends for practically their whole school life, except for grade one. In primary two they had become friends, and they were perfectly compatible. But problems struck when they were in year 10, when they were 14. Rumours had been circling round that Taylor hated Gabriella. Gabriella trusted Taylor very, very much, and once confronted her about it. Taylor had denied it, so Gabriella believed her and went on with the friendship.
Once, on instant chat, Troy claimed to Gabriella that Taylor was claiming to him that she was complaining that she hated Gabriella. Gabriella immediately phoned Taylor, but Taylor denied it, simply saying 'Of course not, and you BELIEVE them?'.
Troy, who had a crush on Gabriella allowed her to enter his account. Gabriella found the chat between Taylor and Troy. It was true.
Taylor: Hey
Troy: Hi
Taylor:Gabriella is SOOO annoying. You know, truthfully, I HATE her.
Troy: You guys are friends though.
Taylor: But she copies off me like CRAZY. Thats why she gets good marks. She peeks at your answers even when you don't let her. And she sticks to me like glue. She's like, permanently attached to me or something. I can't even get her to go away for a second.
Troy: Wait till I tell her
Taylor: Like you would
Gabriella's stomach tightened more and more. She logged out, and signed in her own account.
Troy: Are you okay?
Gabriella:Feel horrible. Can't believe she said that. Thanks SOO much for telling me
Troy: Its okay. Hope you're fine.
Gabriella:I'm just sad :(. Going to phone Taylor.
Gabriella phoned Taylor. She denied backstabbing, until Gabriella told her that she had logged into Troy's account. Taylor had said that she thought it was wrong, but Gabriella replied that Troy had told her the account and let her in. At first, Taylor said she had said things she didn't mean, until Gabriella replied she had heard it from a lot of people. Taylor kept criticizing their friendship, but Gabriella finally slammed the phone down she tears streaming down her face. She phoned Sharpay immediately, and she comforted her.
A/N: Please don't criticize this story. I wanted to get the message out to all those people that you can never trust any friend at all, even your best friend. This happened to me. Exactly the same. Careless talk costs lives. I wrote it so badly because I couldn't bare to dig deeper into the hurt Gabriella felt, since it would hurt me so much.
Everybody backstabs. NOBODY IS PERFECT, BUT WE CAN ALWAYS TRY TO BE. STOP YOUR BACKSTABBING. It won't necessarily stop other people from backstabbing you, but it will help people like you more, and so when you lose one friend, you will still have support. This is what my 'Sharpay' taught me.
