Troy's Little Girl
Troy
rubbed his eyes tiredly as he woke up to the sound of a baby
crying. He let out a yawn and looked over at his side where his
wife
of six years, Gabriella Montez, or Gabriella Bolton
now, was still
sleeping soundly. Troy leaned over and
planted a gentle kiss on her
temple before getting out of
bed to find his crying child. Following
the sound of the
baby's cries, Troy quietly walked into his two-year
old's
bedroom, and approached the small crib. Gently, as if fearing
that his big basketball playing hands would hurt the baby, Troy
lifted
his precious baby girl out of her crib and brought
her to his chest to
comfort her.
"Hi there baby
girl... hi there." Troy cooed at his adorable daughter
as
he tried to stop her from crying. The little girl just kept crying
and started to flail her arms around, hitting her daddy's chest
occasionally.
"Hi gorgeous.. What's the matter Leah?
Did you have a bad dream?" Troy
asked as the girl
continued to cry.
"Hmm.. Is Leah hungry?" Troy asked
again while tickling her stomach
lightly. Little Leah
giggled at her daddy and as if she understood
what he said,
she nodded, the soft rumble in her stomach further
comfirming
Troy's thought.
"Ahhh.. Daddy's little girl is hungry
huh? Alright then, let's go down
to the kitchen and get you
your bottle." Troy kissed the giggling
girl's forehead
and wrapped her in her blanket before carrying her
down to
the kitchen. He set her down on her baby chair and left her
with her blanket while he rushed around the kitchen to prepare
her
bottle.
Small whimpers escaped Leah's lips when
minutes passed and she still
didn't get her bottle.
"Where's my bottle dada?" the little girl
whined
in her head. Just as she was about to cry again, Troy picked
her up into his arms and gave her the bottle of milk. With his
daughter satisfied, Troy smiled and walked to the back porch of
their
house. He slowly sat down on a hammock and rubbed
circles on Leah's
stomach while looking around his
backyard. A large tree stood in one
corner and Troy felt a
smile tug at his lips just looking at it. Ever
since he was
a little boy, Troy had always enjoyed being on trees.
Being
on trees helped him think, he said when Gabriella asked him
about it years ago. So with this tree in the backyard, he planned
to
build a treehouse with his son, Aaden. It seems that his
love of trees
has already been passed down to his son,
Aaden couldn't stop asking
him when they could build a
treehouse! Troy chuckled at the memory and
made a mental
note to start construction once Aaden turned four, which
was
in a month.
Troy yawned again and looked down to find his baby
girl sleeping
soundly in his arms. A small smile crept onto
his face as he watched
her sleep. That little girl was
already so much like her mother. Big
brown eyes, a head
full of brown hair, that cute little button node
and that
adorable giggle all inherited from her mother never failed to
tug at Troy's heartstrings. It's no wonder that little Leah, at
two-
years old, had her daddy wrapped around her little finger.
