It had finally happened. Nagato was missing and there
was nothing I could do about it.
I say "I" because I know Haruhi will. She'll raise hell now
that the Overmind took away our friend. We just have to
find them. Is there a "them" to find? Aren't they a kind of
spiritual entity we can't contact?
It doesn't matter. We have Haruhi on our side. We'll get to
the bottom of–
Haruhi suddenly fell limp to the desk; out cold and
breathing softly.
The red-headed girl behind her held a small metallic device
with four menacing looking prongs and a glowing green
light in her right hand. What is that? Some kind of futuristic
torture device? I don't know, but she had a look of pure
determination on her face.
"We can't let her get involved. This is too complicated. It's
best if she stays here and remembers this as a dream."
Wait, what's going on? And why is Miss Asahina suddenly
so serious about this? Shit! Koizumi was right! The sweet
innocent girl aura about her was just an act.
"We have to go now, Kyon. We have to set this right."
She grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me down the
hallway to a small storage room. Once we were there, she
led me to a back corner that was occupied by a blue
phone box. What the hell is that doing in here?
"Get in now," she said, opening the door and pushing me
in, "I'll explain later."
Once inside, she closed the door and – wait a minute! This
is just a tiny phone box. What the hell is this?
"I'm finally a ginger and I'm not going to waste any more
time dealing with that self-entitled brat. I've got an
adventure and someone to come with me. We're going to
have some fun now, Kyon. We can go find Miss Nagato
together, but a little detour through a few centuries first
wouldn't hurt, would it?"
