Susanne Collins

Susanne glanced at herself in the dressing table mirror, spectacular. The periwinkle dress fit her perfectly. It flowed down like a waterfall, and was incrusted with tiny twinkling stars. She spun around happily, "this is it, this is going to be the best day of my life!" She took another look at the mirror, and then left her bedroom. What she didn't know was that she would never be able to come back to her bedroom ever again.

"Mom I'm leaving for the prom now, I'll see you home okay?" she didn't even finish her sentence when her mom came running out of the living room with a digital camera. "Oh honey, you look amazing! Did you think you were going to escape before I found the camera?"

"I wish"

"Oh come on, I went to remember this night forever, I know you'll want to too."

"Alright…. But only 2 pictures or I'll be late!" SNAP, SNAP, SNAP, AND SNAP.

"Okay, that's enough, bye mom, see you later!"

"Bye honey, don't come home late"

Susanne swiftly walked down the street with her feet already aching with pain. But her 2-inch heels completed her look. "Only a couple more blocks." She assured herself. 7 minutes passed and Susanne came to stop at the crosswalk. Cold air swept up all around her as she waited, and she could feel herself becoming pale. The crosswalk light clicked to say walk, and she strolled along. She didn't see it, but there was a truck coming her way, and it was going at 100 mph. The driver had gotten fired that day, and to subside his anger, he got drunk. But his anger only grew, so for his awaiting revenge, he stole a truck and was on his way.
