Title: Destiny
Author: Anoel
Rating: PG although may change later.
Spoilers- Most of the ideas, chacacter perceptions and some miscellaneous stuff comes from Smallville so it's preferable to have seen all of the first season and half of the second.
Disclaimer: Smallville and all of the characters dont belong to me.
Summary: Lex Luthor was not always bad, especially when he was only 9 years old. Gradual events begin to take Lex to the Smallville Lex we know today and to the future great villian he is to become.
A/N: This is just a short prologue to begin the story, hopefully I will be able to add in more longer chapters later. I would really appreciate all reviews and comments about the stories, not only the good stuff that I love, but also improvements to make it better since this is only my rough draft. I hope everyone likes it and special thanks to all my friends at Devoted to Smallville!
Prologue
"My name is Lex Luthor."
Yeah, you heard that right. Lex Luthor. The only one in this room with a bald head. Get used to it because you'll be seeing a lot more of me than you'll ever want to. Okay, sure I didn't really say that to all the other rich, spoiled brat kids sitting in front of me. You just don't say that in a expensive, prestigious private boarding school. Obviously. But I was thinking it and I would show it. I saw the glances between students, half of knowing my famous name, son of magnificent, billionaire bastard Lionol Luthor, and half of seeing that I was bald which led most to the conclusion that I was a freak. In other words, stay away from me. But that's alright. I was used to it. I really didn't care anymore about that. All I want to do is fight my destiny.
Destiny: the predetermined course of events. My father, my whole lifestyle already had that planned. That I would become a ruthless, cold, billionaire like my father, never giving a damn about anyone, willing to lie, cheat or do anything to get my way and if anyone ever loved me, tearing that love apart. I had already seen it happen. I knew what my father wanted me to become. I still am a disappointment to him anyway though. Nothing I do will ever be enough for him. Okay, now I sound all whiny and self pitying. Oops. I better stop that and move on, as my sympathetic dad would say. I am determined to not be my father. I will never be defined by my last name, now so stereotyped. I am Lex. Fighter of destiny. I plan on being great by being nothing like my father. Defying destiny to the best of my ability.
My early life was most likely defined by being a fearful spoiled brat. The best things I remember about it was my mother, Pamela and my dad sometimes acting like more of a man than he is. It all changed on one day. No, not the day I became bald. That happened in October of 1989 when I was nine years old. It all started a month before. When I went into my bedroom to discover a huge surprise...
