Dear Usagi,

Usagi. Things have changed, haven't they? I am and will be your best friend until the very end, that is what I promised you. We will always understand each other, won't we? Tell me, answer my question. You used to be such a klutz, a crybaby, and sometimes (most of the time, if I'm honest) a pain to be around… you are no longer a pain, no longer a crybaby though you're still my favorite klutz.

Aren't best friends supposed to stick together? Things sure have changed! What's happened to you? For a while, now, I have been crying and hoping that the true you will come on out but this person, who I don't know, has taken over your soul. It's okay… no, actually, it's not! We need you… we need that pure heart that always saw the good in everybody, the person that made a lonely person feel wanted.

Usagi, my friend, I am dying. dying... oh, the pain… can you feel it? Tell me, will you always understand me? Will we always be best friends, Usagi? Will you always know me? I don't know you anymore. Answer me, Usagi! Is love as strong as you claim, is it?! I've never understood love so a part of me never understood you. You were always so loving and knew how to love even those who hated you. Love is what made you have friends, but love… does it truly last forever?

I remembered when I jumped in front of you when Galaxia had attacked and she tried to kill you and the starlights… was that out of the love that you gave to me and the rest of the senshi, a love that caused a friendship between me and you?

Wake up, please! Wake up! Don't stare at me with those eyes of hatred, please! I'm dying… can you feel it? I've never called you Usagi-chan, but now, I will before I die.

"Usagi chan, please wake up! Be the cheerful girl that I always knew, it's one of your great and many traits!" I've said it. I finally said 'Usagi-chan.'

I'm dying Usagi by the hand of the one I never thought I will die from, you! I'm writing this letter just in case you come back… so that you know, there is nothing you could do to me that'll make me hate you. Fight the darkness… as you have always done.

I feel weak… and my tears are blinding my sight. My strength is leaving me… and so are you. Even when I die, remember that I'll always be by your side.
