1.
Pellegri's body is barely recognisable.
Jin shakes as he sets aside rubble, stone and vegetation to make a grave. He digs a foot into the ground, but eventually gives up. He lays Pellegri into the shallow depression, returning the dirt to its proper place. He pauses for a moment before covering her face, and then presses the rest of the soil over what once were a pair of eyes, a nose and a mouth.
Before rising, he speaks for a moment, nearly asking for forgiveness. "Goodbye," he says instead, "I hope I was a worthy opponent."
Upon his return to E.S. Reuben, the hologram screen appears before him. Shion questions with uncharacteristic affection. "Brother?"
He reaches over and ends communication without looking up.

He doesn't disembark this time. E.S. Reuben's movements are slow, but steady, as Jin maneuvers near what is left of Margulis's machine. He lingers, reviewing the battle, his glance avoiding what was once E.S. Levi's cockpit. His eyes eventually catch, and he's forced to look.
There's nothing left but a blade that once belonged to someone he respected, and a weak echo.
"You've cast away all those who understand you, with your own hands."
3.
chaos pours generously, smiling as Jin tries to relocate his glass. "Drink."
"I think I've had enough." Jin raises an eyebrow, then jests, "Bartender."
"You need it." chaos reassures, refilling his own, "I know you do."
The room goes silent. "Do you?"
"Yes." chaos replies softly, "But unfortunately, I don't understand."
Jin considers the conversation for a moment, and then reaches for the remainder of the liquor.
