Disclaimer: I don't own anything in the Final Fantasy VII franchise.

Author's Note: I decide to write this for practice, since I really want to write a full story soon. Also I wanted to know what was on Aerith's mind when she was counting her wishes. I don't know if anybody else has done this idea, also I hope nobody is OOC, so please enjoy my short one-shot.

"I want a nicer one."

"Stop being so picky," replied Zack. No Aerith was being picky, but she was afraid that now that the flower wagon was done she would see Zack less.

"A tiny little wish that's all."

"They're tiny but you have lots right?" Aerith thought about it, and honestly she had enough. Would it they all come true though?

"That's right, wanna hear?"

Just like she hope he would reply he asked her, "how many you got?"

She turned away from him to count on her fingers, and her list began. She really wanted Zack to help her sell flower like they planned. She wanted to go on another date with him and look into his eyes again. She wanted him to help her overcome her fear of the sky. She wanted him to be there to congratulate her when she covered all of Midgar in flowers. Then she wished for simpler things, like kissing him, holding his hand as they walked through the Slums together, him giving her flowers. Seeing Zack open the door of the church, smiling at her and saying he missed her. She wanted him to talk to her while she planted her flowers, like they always did. Running into his arms when he comes back from his duty's assigned to him by SOLDIER. She would like to hold him for hours, with only the sound of their hearts beating in the complete silent of the church.

She also wished for deeper things, like to meet his family, and she wanted to hear stories from Zack's parents about all the things he did growing up. She wanted to see his childhood home, and where he used to play. She wanted to meet his friends who he talked a lot about. She wished for Zack to take her to the Golden Saucer, which she heard was very nice and can be very romance. One day she wanted Zack to stay the night with, simply to sleep. Then as time went on she wanted an intimate night with him. A little part of her wanted to marry him one day, even raise a family with him. She wanted those happy years of marriage, and then growing old and gray together.

Finally she finished counting and turned but to Zack.

"Hmm….. Twenty -three?" Zack looked back at her with disbelief but it was soon replaced with a grin.

"Write them down so I don't forget." Aerith agreed and started to write them down. Before she began to write she heard Zack's phone ring. Then she rethought about her wishes, she realized all of them could be summed to become one big wish. As soon as Zack's phone call was done she had already written her big wish.

"Work stuff?" She asked him.

"Sadly," her heart dropped a little, she didn't want him to leave so soon.

"Here," she handed him the paper with her wish on it.

She saw his eyes read what she wrote,

I'd like to spend more time with you.

He nodded back at her with a smile, and she smiled back at him knowing that when he comes back he'll try his hardest to make her wish come true.
