Link's Journal
"Dad's been gone for an awfully long time," Melodie burst out tearfully.
Rosae sobbed on the red velvet rug that circled the room.
Zelda opened the large glass door. "Girls, come in mine and your father's room." The great queen sounded as if she had been crying herself.
They walked casually through the castle to Link and Zelda's room. Zelda, Rosae, and Melodie scrambled through Link's dresser in hopes to find something that suggests where he had gone.
"It's hopeless!" Zelda yelled after half an hour of searching through the room. She sank to the floor and started weeping.
"It is okay, Mommy," Melodie said sweetly, and Rosae nodded in agreement. Both girls hugged their mother. Rosae moved away and laid upon the floor. She looked under her parents' bed and saw something peculiar. She pulled out a thick journal with Link in elegant cursive across the front.
"Look!" She presented it her mother and twin sister. They opened it to the first page and it read:
Today, I possibly my true love. Her eyes were a beautiful sapphire blue. I knew she can't be mine, for she is a princess and I am merely a peasant. Her hair was beautiful, with curls golden as the sun
