Write a letter to your future son.
Dear Harry,
I want you to know that whatever you might turn out to become, whatever mistakes you make, or whatever achievements you get. I will love you and be proud of you. There is no doubt in my mind that you will be a great wizard some day.
I hope you like quidditch and aren't as bookwormish as your mother. I want to teach you how to ride a broom, how to play quidditch and all it's rules. I want you to feel the wind race through your hair. But even if you do like books, I'm sure your beautiful mother would be able to help you with that. I mean, I'm not really the guy for that.
I want you to know that there are a lot of people here that love you Harry. Your Godfather Sirius demanded that I wrote a special message from him to you here so this is not my doing… I just lost a bet… "Padfoot is the most amazing talented man I know and it is a privileged to have him as a Godfather because he is a star." Yeah… Sorry about that.
I guess I'm rambling on a bit now but I just want everything to be clear. I love you. Your Mother loves you. If my parents were still alive then they'd be with me now, awaiting your birth little one, but I know that they love you deeply and will be watching over you from the stars.
