After losing her parents to the Illuminati and getting them back, Pacifica suddenly appreciated them more. She could have lost them. They're lucky to be alive, and she's too. She thought she lost them forever. All these thoughts of what she didn't say, how she didn't know them well enough for them to go. And what was she supposed to do when they're gone? It's still relevant. They could die at any time. They could drop dead from a disease never known before, the earth could open up and swallow them. And if it does, well, it would be the and of this part of Pacifica's life. Pricilla, her Mom, suggested they'll just try to go back to normal, because it's over. It's all in the past.
Honestly, Pacifica wasn't convinced that triangle demon was gone. You see, they had this Tapestry from Ancient Egypt that predicted this demon will destroy humanity or spread chaos and fear. That horrible day, after it actually happened, Pacifica went back home, before crushing on her bed, even before changing from that potato bag she used to cover herself, she had to get rid of that Tapestry. The Tapestry showed red skies, like what they had, burning trees and gray figures in the fire, bowing to a huge flying pyramid with one eye. With bones and skulls undergrown Now that she actually looked at it, the trees seemed to be turning to stone. A bit like how this guy turned people to stone yesterday.
She took it off the wall and into the secret room of the drawings. This will be her little addition to the family tradition. Lots and lots of paintings showing scandals, tricks, and crimes. Most of them had a little explanation on the back. The rest were self-explanatory. She wrote on the back of the cotton.
'This demon's name is Bill, he's real. I met him in person and stood against him. When weak, he controls people's minds by shaking their hands. When powerful, he controls people's minds as he wishes, and opens a portal full of monsters, and bring to life random objects. I heard from trustworthy people that they think he's gone. I believe they think that, but I don't know why. I didn't see everything.
Pacifica Elise Northwest 2012.'
On her way out, she accidentally stepped on it. It made her shiver. Partly because it was a drawing of a demon that nearly ended the world, and partly because her dirty feet were on this priceless, thousands of years old antique dating back to 3057 bc. She looked to see how dirty she made it, and saw little drawings sewed on the right bottom corner of the back of it. These were the drawings.
Pacifica was way too tired to think. After all of the week's events tired her physically and emotionally, being there was just too much. She took a picture of the symbols and went in random directions that got her to her bedroom.
Days later they moved a house. Pacifica was ruined. It was her first time moving a house and… Well, it was their house. All of these questions raced through her mind as a moving company moved some of the furniture out.
Why did it have to be now?
How will they make do with only three servants and a butler?
Why is their new house so small and ugly?
Why is her new room so small and ugly?
What if she forgot something?
She looked at the porters carrying her fifth luggage. No. There's no way she forgot something. Julia helped her pack. Well, actually Julia was the one packing and Pacifica just watched her, getting and more and more nervous with every luggage that got filled. This happened after Julia was officially fired, so she did it solely because she wanted to. Julia was Pacifica's favorite staff member. She's more like a nanny than a servant to Pacifica. Julia had authority over Pacifica her entire life. She helped Pacifica with her homework when she first started school. And she always looked disappointed when Pacifica paid other kids to do it for her. Julia was the first person Pacifica would turn to if something was bothering her. She had dirty-blond hair and she was sort of pretty.
Years ago, when Preston looked for a nanny, he looked for someone confident, opinionated, patient and experienced with children. With a focus on confident and opinionated. Now, with Pacifica grown up, and with their money running short, he was more than happy to fire Julia. He didn't like how she often talked out of place. He tolerated having her around because her attitude taught Pacifica to respect adults. Preston found it important that his daughter will respect him.
Pacifica thought it was really unfair that after all that's happened she only gets her house for a few days. And she won't even be able to settle down and relax in her room. Well, she did have one night, but it wasn't enough. She'll never really get over it. That makes her scared for life.
Just last night she was crying at Julia's lap and told her what happened. How, after the demon ruined her Dad's face, she and her Mom had to run from these ugly monsters. Pricilla couldn't run fast on high hills. So the monsters spet acids at her back. She kept yelling at Pacifica to not wait for her. Pricilla's back started to bleed. She was crying silently and… even though they were running away from vicious monsters, she looked tired. Eventually, she collapsed and, Pacifica listened to what she said and didn't wait there. Pacifica always listened to her Mom.
After that, a huge baby destroyed the monsters with some laser beam and said in a deep voice that he's from the future and himself from a parallel timeline told him that he needs Pacifica's help to destroy Bill at this time otherwise his timeline will never have existed. Pacifica got cared and ran into the forest and he shouted that he doesn't need her and that he'll take care of it himself.
Pacifica kept running, terrified in the forest. Her bare feet were already bleeding from acid before she came to the forest and got all sorts of dirty things in there. She could feel some of them stick to her feet, but nothing hurt. She tripped and fell and coursed, then she heard a loud batwing flap. There was a stonening eyeball bat, and it was way too close. Pacifica peeled the bark from some weird tree and hide behind it. The eyeball must have realized she was there because it kept circling her. She heard another one making its way there. Pacifica hit the close eyeball with the bark shield and ran with it, crying for help. No one heard.
That's where she stopped, Julia just finished brushing her hair. Pacifica wanted her to know the rest now. How she was saved by a unicorn, and helped build this huge robot to fight the demon. But she was so tired… She planned on telling her the next morning, but then the twin's birthday party was held and well… Pacifica liked helping to prepare it for the heroes of the town. It was a one-time opportunity. And she could always sit by the fireplace and talk to Julia a bit later… Unless she's forcibly moved to a mansion without a privet fireplace… And unless Julia gets fired.
It was so unfair. The first time in her life that she moves is at the point where she had never missed Northwest Manor this much, and right after a full-on trauma. If it wasn't enough, she didn't even have time to get used to the idea and look at every room in the mansion one last time. When she was told, furniture was already moved out of the mansion. Just a few hours later she was having dinner at the new, smaller mansion. Without Julia.
Julia is moving to Arizona, so she won't even be there for Pacifica if things got bad with her parents again. Preston was expecting her to act perfectly because she grew up. If they fight, she won't have anyone to ask for advice. She could tell her friends, but they won't know what she should do.
And, like she thought, in a few days she got into a fight with them again. Over whether or not they should throw one last feast for the entire town. Pacifica really thought they should do it, but they sand her to her room for bringing up the idea. She told that to her friends at a restaurant. She told them that she's tired of her parents and that they're the worst. And how she hates the new mansion and, the new cook's food and, for the hundredth time, how she misses Julia.
Suddenly Tiffany hit the table and stood up. She looked really angry at Pacifica.
"What's your problem?" Pacifica didn't even finish yet.
"Oh, what's my problem? I'll tell you what's my problem. I just came back from a memorial and all you talk about is how you miss your ponies and the deserts you used to get."
Pacifica thought Tiffany was overreacting. The memorial was the day before and Pacifica did show interest. "I asked you how you were doing".
"You did, and when I told you, you cut me off!"
Pacifica honestly didn't mean to do that. "I thought you were done".
"Really? did it look like I… Like I wanna hear about how you can't find your stuff in the luggages -" Her words cracked when she realized Pacifica didn't even look at her until now. "Did you even hear what I said?"
When Tiffany told them about the memorial, Pacifica was imagining the fight she had with her parents, only that she was winning it, but she also listened. "Of course".
"Then who's memorial did I go to?"
Oh, crap. "Um… was it… Somebody's… Dad? No? Somebody's Mom?"
Tiffany gave her this furious look, then went away from the table to call her Mom to pick her up.
Pacifica leaned towards Melany. "Seriously though," she said suddenly curios, "Who's memorial did she go to?"
Melany frowned and went over to Tiffany.
"Tell her I'm sorry". Pacifica said to her back. Melany made it clear that she won't be doing that.
Pacifica got uncomfortable sitting there alone, so she went over to apologize. Tiffany hardly listened, she asked Pacifica to go away and went away herself. Pacifica kept trying to apologize. Tiffany put a chair between them, Pacifica moved the chair. Then Melany stood in front of her and opened her hand like a stop sign. It sort of amused Pacifica, she'll just go around or push her away, or both.
"Tiffany wants to be away from you". Melany said. Pacifica made her way around and pushed her aside. "Tell me something I don't know".
She held Pacifica's wrist "So you're gonna ignore what she wants? Now?"
Pacifica didn't understand what's their problem. She accidentally cut Tiffany off, Tiffany took it personally, so she's gonna apologize. She released herself from Melany's loose grip and went on.
She didn't see Melany, she couldn't have known that right there and there, Melany made the decision to not be friends with her anymore. And now she could say,
"You've always been selfish, but this is a new low for you".
Pacifica just froze on the spot. What do you say to that? And since when was apologizing such a selfish thing to do?
If you asked Melany, she would tell you Pacifica wanted to apologize because she thought she will get something from it. It will make her feel better, and everyone in the restaurant will think she's done the right thing. But her main reason for apologizing was that Tiffany and Melany won't be mad anymore. Pacifica was bribing them. She has been doing it for years. This was the first time she offered them something that they didn't want. Tiffany and Melany were real friends with each other, and, the three of them thought Pacifica was a real friend too, but two of them now realized it wasn't like that. And Pacifica will realize that soon enough.
Pacifica watched them get into Tiffany's Mom's car from the restaurant. Trying to figure this out. She waited at the lonely table for her change. She didn't have to pay in cash, she had credit cards, it was just a habit. The waiter put a folded leather thini on her table. She visualized going home and… it wasn't a very comforting thought. She ordered something sweet, to cheer herself up. Then she opened the leather thinni it had a bill and a few cents. The bill looked sort of wrong. She checked it, to see if it's fake, and it was! How dare they? She's gonna yell at them, and tell them how irresponsible they are, and how everyone here should check if the food is fake too. She will make a big scene here… or not.
She looked at the bill again and at the corner there was… Bill. Sort of. It looked more like that tapestry they used to have. Pacifica thought about it, about these drawings at the back of it. Something didn't feel right about that whole battle. It was mainly that baby… He mentioned that the world will end if Pacifica didn't help to defeat him. Now she knows how she could have helped with the spell, but she didn't. And the world was still here. She remembered what he said though, and it bugged her so much. Even now, that she was depressed and her whole world shook under her feet, she had to know what the tapestry means. The waiter brought her her Crème brûlée, she wasn't hungry anymore. She showed him the symbols' picture on her phone. "Do you know what they mean?"
He looked at it "Sorry, no idea. Why?"
"I really want to know. It's from the back of a tapestry called 'The Second Dusk, which already happened. Who can I ask about it?"
"Oh, you should totally ask Dipper. He's the best at this stuff. I saw this Article at in the newspaper about an oversized bat-"
"I saw it too. You know how I can get to him?"
"Well, he's good friends with Wendy, I bet they keep in touch. Do you even know Wendy? She-".
"-I know her".
"Really, how?"
"I met her in the Mystery Shack when the… um, thing happened".
"Oh, so you met just a few days ago, then".
"Oh, yeah." to Pacifica it seemed like ages ago.
So much had happened… She threw away The Second Dusk and then bad stuff just happened one after the other. Like school, for example. She didn't deserve it. Besides. What's the use of a tapestry that has already happened? What else does it have to say? Pacifica agreed with the waiter. If there's anyone who can figure it out it's Dipper, and if there's anyone who kept in touch with him it would be Wendy.
"Is there anywhere that I can meet with Wendy without it being weird? I mean… I can't just come and knock on her door".
"'Course you can".
Pacifica frowned at him, hoping he'll just answer the question.
He took a moment to think. "There's a party this Friday at Michel's house".
Pacifica imagined herself walking into an unorganized party, and then realized that she and this guy might have different ideas as to what a party should be like. "What kind of party?" She asked suspectingly.
"A supervised party." the waiter calmed her.
"No alcohol and kids friendly".
"I'm not a kid!"
The waiter was about to mock her again, but a Sheff came over and started to shout at him. The waiter apologized his heart out for waiting so long at one table, but once the Sheff announced that he was fired, the waiter started to shout back, he offended the Sheff and said the food wasn't even that good (which was true), then stormed out.
Pacifica couldn't decide whether to go or not. She decided that she'll get the butler to wait in the car in case she doesn't like the party or if Wendy isn't there. Pacifica didn't think of it as a party. If she did she would have prepared herself for fancy delicacies and manners, but to this, she can come however she wants and say whatever she wants. No adults to tell her to behave and she won't have to represent the Northwests. At least, not as much as in usual parties. Altogether, this could… It's unlikely but this could be the most fun party Pacifica had ever been to.
It would have been even more fun if her friends came. She hasn't managed to talk with them in the past few days. They were avoiding her, which didn't make her happy. The house was fine. Marble floor, wooden stairs… It was small, obviously, but at least it was pretty. Like the waiter said, there were some kids there, and adults who supervised the party. The dancefloor was full and energetic. Pacifica couldn't find Wendy anywhere. She was about to look at the second floor but one of the adults said no one goes there.
There was a moment where some emo teen was drawing on a vase. A short, full lady came and started to shout at him. Everyone stopped dancing to hear the house owner make this rebel boy feel guilty. The music was still on. Pacifica went to one of Wendy's friends and asked about her.
"What are you doing here?" Lee asked
"Right now? I'm watching your friend gets what he asked for".
"Yeah, well, I'd love to be there when it's your turn".
He made them laugh.
Pacifica said. "Whatever. I'm only here because I have unfinished business with Wendy, so next time you see her tell her to see me as soon as she can".
Their business was more like unstsrted rather than unfinished, but this way she can be sure Wendy will get the message. Also, it distracted these idiots from what the tall guy said.
In the meantime, the lady who owns the house made emu dude so angry that e smashed the vase on the floor. Pacifica thought this will be the last thing she remembers from this party. So much for the most fun party ever. On her way to the car, another dude with a skull shirt and tattoos told her to wait.
"What is it?"
"Wendy actually came today. She left a few minutes before you came. Is it because of then um… thing, you said you were doing?"
"Oh, yeah. Definitely. Did she say where she was going?"
"No, she never does. Where do you usually go when you meet? She's probably there".
Pacifica realized that he thought this was a routine they had. He just assumed that, but it could play on her favor. She helped him lie to himself.
"How did you know we were meeting all the time?"
"Well, we don't really talk about it in the gang but some evenings Wendy bails on us at hangouts. Sometimes she has excuses, sometimes she doesn't".
"Yeah, well, the truth is we meet every time in a different place and today she forgot to tell me where she was going. If you have any idea it could really help Wendy".
"I dunno dude".
"Don't call me that! Plus, you're lying. You know something".
"It's nothing-"
"Spit it!"
He was frustrated "I just thought about something Lasy Eye Suzan said. About seeing Wendy and Diller in the forest chasing a Montour when closing her shop. But she's old, she's seeing things".
"I've heard weirder things this past week".
"But weren't you with her that day?"
"Right. Anyway. Listen… It's best for Wendy if you don't talk about this with the others, alright?"
"Sure, I get it. Robi and Tambry and Thomson won't keep their mouths shut about goods".
What he said now allow him to tell anyone other than the three people he mentioned. Pacifica made sure. "Listen, you tell no one. Alright?".
He hesitated. "Do I get a cut of the goods?".
Pacifica sighed and handed him a pile of cash without counting it. His eyebrows got higher and his smile wider with every ten dollar bill he counted.
Pacifica got in the car. The guy just waited there, as if he was expecting Pacifica to get out of the car and give him more money.
She waved him off, then told the butler "To the forest. Now".
This was perfect, Wendy was actually going to meet Dipper, which means Dipper never left Gravity Falls. That's going to make finding him much easier.
After a few minutes, Pacifica saw something orange colored moving.
"Stop!"
Pacifica had to get out of the car because the person she assumed to be Wendy went into an alley where cars can't go. There was still some time before sundown. Pacifica went just to see who it is. But the person went from walking to slow running. When she caught up, she was afraid it would be someone else, but, to her relief, it was Wendy.
Wendy was now running relatively fast. Pacifica asked Wendy to slow down, but she ignored her. Wendy saw her, but ignored her and ran ever fasted. Running got easier once they stopped running through narrow allies and arrived at an open grass field. Not too far ahead was the forest. Wendy was still in a hurry for some reason. Pacifica called to her. Wendy was anything but glad to see Pacifica was still following her.
"Go back right now! You can't be here". Wendy shouted, then kept running to the forest, with Pacifica now close behind her.
"Wendy wait! I just need a word with Dipper!"
They were almost to the forest's treeline. Wendy stopped, she looked tired and concerned, and sick.
Pacifica started to explain about this tapestry… and a baby from the future, but Wendy cut her word. "You have to go back".
"Just give me a minute, I need Dipper to look at this, see?".
Wendy knocked the phone off her hand. "Pacifica, it's dangerous here".
They both heard something from the forest. A voice, too far to hear clear words.
"I'm here!" Wendy answered. Then told Pacifica. "You have to go now. Whatever happens, don't look back".
Pacifica could tell Wendy was serious. The last time someone talked to her that way was at the weird time, when survival was on the line. Pacifica went away. After just one moment she heard a scream, so she turned around. Wendy was screaming, holding her head. The sky turned the color of her hair, deep orange. She looked like she was battling something in her mind.
"What's going on?" Pacifica asked.
"Time's up" Wendy said through heavy breaths, on the verge of tears. "You should have run". Then she held her head again, this time quietly.
Pacifica stepped back in fear, piecing things together. "I knew it. 'The Second Dusk'. You're coming back, aren't you, Bill?"
Something clicked in Wendy's eyes. Her hands shook as she got her ax out, and opened the safety cover. Pacifica froze in fear, and then accepted it. There would be no point in running away now.

I hope you like it. I know it's just version 2 but for me, it's more like version 5 or something. I kept changing the plot over and over, so I hope you like it. Let me know what you think. If you like it, comment. If you didn't like it, comment, I'm open to feedback.
Also, I recommend that you set the text size to larger and the space lines between paragraphs too. It's easier to read that way.
