Summary:Light ponders about some disturbing questions. When Lawliet passes on, what is he supposed to do? How will he live on, when his partner dies a second time?
Warnings: angst, much a-pondering, and mild shonen-ai
Attention!: You may have to referr my other fanfiction, "Kitten", to get(most of) this.
Forgive me, but I don't know the proper colour of Lights eyes, hahaha. Oh geez, I've made Light such a fudgin softy, it makes me laugh. Aren't you supposed to be a power-hungry, badass, basically emotionless murderer, Light?!

Light watched as his precious pet lays, not daring to touch him. He wanted to preserve the sight; the sight of utmost peace. He watched the suttle rise and fall of the kittens chest, almost unnoticable under his fur. Lawliet looked almost dead he was so peacefully resting. Light frowned. Death. The most inevitable thing in the universe. At one point, every living thing has a time to go. At one point, every living thing has to pass on and die out, to possibly make room for new life to start. It was a very unlikeable thing. But nothing could change this fact, that at one point, Lawliet would die.
Light used this technique, the technique of death. He had used it so very many times before on various criminals. But it was different; they deserved their punishment. Of course Light would eventually die too. He could never imagine his own death, although it would happen at one point, but it made his heart pang with hurt.
Cats lifespans are much shorter than a humans, and Light knew this. He also couldn't imagine what sort of life he would live after his most precious friend would leave him. He did not want to accept the fact that his pet would die much before himself, but it was a fact most certainly unavoidable.
The teen then started to ponder. What would his life be like when Lawliet died? What sort of person would he be after it happened? Would he be reduced back to being the walking vegetable of a human he was just a short while ago? Of course, if Lawliet's first death hit him with such an impact, his second death would come twice as hard. He could not deny the fact that he fell in love with his rival. For Light, it was hard to admit at first, but the dramatic death of 'L' had made him, well, sad. At first there was relief, then nothingness, then hurt.
Light sighed heavily once again, brown eyes slowly looking over the kitten. Indeed, he looked dead. But then again, he looked beautiful. How his scrawny, reincarnate of a sugar inhaler, skinny as a toothpick cat could look as beautiful as he did that moment, was strange.
Lawliet's death, surely, would make Light depressed. Again. Infact, Lawliet's second death might just be unbearable. Would it even make Light cry? Who knows. But Light knew one thing was for sure, he should just cherish the moments he had with his pet now, and not think about death. Death. The most inevitable thing in the universe.

emoemoemoemo softysoftysoftysofty badangstscenesbadangstscenes. Okay, so yea. Light is waayy out of character, but my version of Light goes by: "Omg I get supa angsty when I think of L's death and I have a soft spot for kitties and I fluster easily:DDDDD!YAY!!1!" Or, to put it simply, OOC. Yay!!!
The reason I didn't put this in my 'Kitten' fic as a side story, is cause its meant to be sad. And 'Kitten' is now fluff. NO SAD ALLOWED D:
So this gets its very own page!Whoot!! Anywayz, plz review with what you liked or didn't like. X3
