Living on the road wasn't very fun. His Dad and Dean hustled money over poker and pool tables just so they could get through the week. It was the same every week. Find a new case, hustle money, go to a motel, research, take care of the monster and they were back on the road. Sam didn't make friends anymore, there wasn't any point. They would move away within a week or two anyway.

Then Sam met Loki. Loki was a strange kid who could do strange things. He had an amazing sweet tooth and played tricks on everyone. The opposite of Sam. Sam was the quiet kid, the bookworm, the nerd. Loki didn't go to school. when Sam asked about it, he laughed and shook his head.

Sam told Dean about Loki but Dean shook his head and said he needed to get back to researching. Sam told Loki about the monsters his dad hunted, Loki didn't run. He was interested. He helped Sam research and quickly found out what the monster was and how to kill it. Sam told Dean. Dean looked at him shocked before telling his Dad. His Dad nodded at Sam. Sam smiled. He had helped.

His smile fell though when he realised he would be moving away. Away from Loki. He told Loki this and Loki shook his head and handed Sam a necklace. He said just pray for Loki and he would come. Sam asked how and Loki just smiled.

His Dad and Dean took care of the Monster and they were on the road again. Sam clutched his necklace tightly. If Dean saw, he didn't comment.

Sam forgot about Loki as the years passed but Loki didn't forget about him. So when Loki saw Sam again, he was older and taller. Loki was working as a Janitor... And doing his side job of dishing out what people deserved. He tried to get Sam to remember but Sam didn't. Then again at Mystery Spot. Then TV land - Where Dean and Sam found out he was Gabriel - then the Pagan meeting.

Just before Gabriel went against Lucifer, he had talked to Sam while his illusion was distracting Lucifer. He had brought back the memories before going back.

His last thoughts were, 'At least Sam remembers me.'

"C'mon Sammy! Help me with this trick!"

"Lo', you know it's not good!"

"I'll miss you Lo'..."

"Take this; it will help you remember me. If you're ever in any trouble just wrap you hand around it and pray for me."

"Why?"

"I'll come and save you, Silly!"

"Hey, nerd-boy! I'm Loki, what's your name?"

"That's no way to talk to somebody."

"I'll keep calling you nerd-boy until you tell me your name."

"Fine, it's Sam."

"Okay, Sammy, you want to play?"

"Sam! Not Sammy!"

Gabriel smiled.
