Mi's Story

Yugi has just returned my starchips. All damn 8 of them, that he'd just won back from Panic for me. They're my starchips, rightfully mine, and I'd stupidly refused them. Me, Mi, that blonde babe that can kick ass. My prize winning waist length hair and my photo-friendly face. Me, Mi, the ultimate brat of Duel Monsters, refuse to take my starchips back from the guy that's won them for me. "I can't take these, Yugi," I said.

His friend and shadow, Joey Wheeler, bounces up behind him and had offers to take them, and I'm thinking, 'Yeah, over my dead body.' I swear, he's so… so… immature sometimes. Ok… most of the time. I think that he's from New York, or another American city. He might've been able to hold a life and a girlfriend if he didn't think he was so macho and lost the accent. He has blonde hair, like me, and is slightly taller. He's real skinny, too, and has a crooked sorta smile.

I think… I think… I think he has 6 star chips. Rex, a dueler that had lost to him, gave him 4 of his chips to add to his 2. Rex had wanted to duel me, and I wanted to get back at Joey for beating my Herpies (A/N: Herpies is a STD, right?), so I told Rex that if he wanted to duel me, he had to beat Joey. Joey bet 4 starchips, but he had only 2! Probably would've mooched the other 2 from Yugi, like he already does with everything else. I'm surprised that Joey won, but of course, it was dumb luck. So the arrow ended up landing on a time machine, if it didn't Joey'd be back on the first boat back to the mainland. He's trying to win for his sister, Serenity, who's blind. Like he'll be able to beat Pegasus and win the money. That's a joke, a real laugh.

So he comes up behind Yugi and says something like, "Can't you let your guard down, Mi? Just this once?" he asked after he'd just TEASED me with my chips. Taken them right out of Yugi's hand and held them out of my reach. Stupid git. Gods, he wears that smile that annoys the hell outta me, and holds them above my head. I could've killed him right then and there. I smirk and reach up to try to get them, and wear that 'Ha ha, this is so much fun. I'll giggle and smirk like a pathetic yuppie that I most certainly am not. You're such a kick in the side, Joey Wheeler.' That smirk was more like: 'Ha ha, I will laugh so hard as soon as I'm done kicking your special male anatomy so hard you can't have children. Then I will take my chips back, thank you very much' sort of smile. I almost get them on my own, really almost get them. Then his hand pushes them into mine, and it was like, this jolt of electricity shot through me. He gave me back my chips, but I don't think my heart was racing cuz of that. I really don't think that the fact that I have all 8 of my chips back really makes my heart race.
