It was a night in which nothing had to be done. On the sofa of the common room sat Conner, mindlessly staring at the rectangular screen attached to the wall. There was nothing on but the black specs that danced on the tv. He reached for a remote and flicked through another channel. There were still the black specs that covered every inch of the screen, only this time the buzz that had accompanied it grew more apparent.
Behind him there was a rustle of materials in the kitchen. A feminine voice spoke. "Would you like me to turn it on?"
He ignored the only other resident and simply stared at the screen before him. "No."
M'gann sighed. "Well then would you like to help me with dinner?" He could sense the hope in her voice and grimaced.
"No." M'gann's frown quickly turned into a wide smile when she saw Conner getting up.
Despite her good intentions, M'gann had no talent when it came to kitchen supplies. He grimaced at the thought of her previous recipe. He shivered at the thought of what was supposed to be burnt eggs on a hot toast of bread with a distinct tint of red. To save the kitchen (and his stomach) from an imminent doom of mess and aches, he went to help.
She went to the cabinets and gathered a few bowls. "We'll need some of these." She chirped.
Using her telepathic powers, she levitated 'these' items over to Conner. Both bowls he caught, but before he could put them down, M'gann was already rummaging for more items. She opened the fridge. "-cheese, juice, butter, milk, and eg-"
From behind her there was a noise that sounded a clatter of items dropping to the floor. "Oops." She muttered looking at the mess before her.
There stood Conner, dripping with a mix of white and yellow substances. He was neither mad nor happy, probably because at the current situation he didn't know how to feel. Instead he simply stared, emotionless, as M'gann immediately attempted to clean him up.
Rushing over, she grabbed a bundle of paper towels near the sink and then swiftly went to the stoic teen. "I'm so sorry." She patted his wet shirt with one of the towels.
Conner made no indication of having heard her, but instead silently watched as she dried him up. M'gann attempted to look down and tried not to concentrate on the fact that she was currently right in front of Conner. She could almost see the outline of his muscles. She blushed at the sudden implications of the thought.
"Why is your face red?" the boy above her suddenly asked.
Drip, drop, drip.
As she looked up, she suddenly felt liquids dripping onto her face. "What?" she asked, seeing that the source of the liquid was coming from one of tips of Conner's hair. She took another piece and wiped it off. "There we go." Her smile suddenly disappeared when she caught a pair of blue eyes boring into her own.
Absentmindedly, she brought her finger up to his face and felt the creamy material. "Soft." She mumbled. Then she brought it to her lips and tasted the sweet mixture of the once messy food. "Yummy." She smiled lightly, going red.
Conner in turn became red as well, but with a mixture of embarrassment.
So the process of making the food was still a disaster. Even with his help, the materials still created a mess. But this time it wasn't so bad because in the end, it was a sweet disaster.

Author's Note: Before I speak, I would like to thank Chuchumarshmellow for being a great beta reader! Last week's episode, just bore into my mind and I absolutely loved the moment between Conner and M'gann. In my opinion it was the best moment yet, between the two characters, which compelled me to write this fic. My intention was to make it light and humorous, I don't know if I achieved it though. But if you leave a sweet review then I know I had achieved it. :3
