Gaara Sabuko , the Kazekage , sits alone in the rain . He is laying on a rock , letting the freezing raindrops flow over him .

Chi Okami , Konoha's outcast , is walking in through the forest , not caring that she would probably smell like wet dog . She is a half-wolf-half-human hybrid . Chi spots a big rock and decides to climb to the top . She stands on the top , looking around . Her soaking wet tail flicks water everywhere . Someone makes some grumbling noise , causing Chi to almost fall of the rock . The person catches her . She turns and sees Gaara , another outcast . "I-I'm so sorry , Kazekage-Sama ." Chi gets balanced . "I'll leave now ." She turns to climb down .

"No , stay ."

"O-okay ." They sit down together . The rain covers them . "You shouldn't be out here ... You could catch a cold , Gaara-Sama ." Gaara shakes his head .

"You shouldn't be out here either . You could get hurt . The Akatsuki frequently pass through here ."

"Thats okay . No one would notice if I went missing ." Chi dangles her legs off the edge of the rock . She lifts her arm into the air and swirls it around , playing with the water .

"I'm sure someone would notice your absence , Chi ." Gaara whispers .

"Your wrong ." Chi sighs . "If the Akatsuki come through here , you shouldn't be here alone ."

"Don't worry about me ."

"I worry about everyone . It's just who I am ."

"I'm a monster . Don't waste your time on me ."

"A monster ?" Chi looks at him and laughs . "If anyones a monster , it's me . Do you know anyone else with a tail and wolf ears ?" Gaara shakes his head .

"Your no monster . Your just misunderstood ."

"As are you , Kazekage ." They look at eachother .

What is this ? What am I feeling ? Gaara , never having felt the need to just hold someone in his arms , thinks to himself . Why do I feel like I need her ? "Ch-Chi ... W-what am I f-feeling ? I-I feel like I n-need you ..."

"It's ... It's called love , Gaara ."

"I think I like it ."

"I think I like it too .." Chi smiles her wolfy smile , making Gaara's heart skip a beat . He places his hands on either side of her face and looks into her big eyes .

"If love is what I'm feeling ... I want to keep feeling it ... But only with you ... I-I ... I love you ." Gaara rests his forehead against hers .

"I l-love y-you too ..." Reacting out of pure happiness , Chi presses her lips to his . They both blush and smile .

"Please stay with me ." Gaara whispers , kissing her again .

"I don't want to be anywhere else ."
