Title: Married Life
Fandom: KHR!
a/n I suddenly have KHR! writing urges… Super short, but more is on the way.
Haru had recently come to a conclusion. She realized, without a doubt, that being a newlywed was hard.
It wasn't that she didn't love her husband. In fact, she loved him so much that she didn't know what do with herself sometimes. But there were some things that she had a hard time getting used to. For example, whenever he took a shower, he would walk around the house with his towel barely covering his "private parts". He also played his music loudly, put his dirty coffee cups out on the counter, and even left the toilet seat up on numerous occasions.
She didn't even particularly like the way that he talked to her sometimes.
"What's the matter?" he would ask her. "Never seen a man fart before?"
"What you doing, stupid woman?!" he constantly yelled.
"Not tall enough, I see," he said one day. "Guess we'll need munckin cabinets."
He even ignored her seduction tactics, brushing her off with a brisk, "Haru, I'm busy. Maybe later."
This really wasn't what she thought the start of their marriage would be like. From what she had learned from her mother, this period of their life was supposed to be sweet and full of puppy love. He would buy her flowers just because he felt like it, and she would do something sweet for him when he came home from work. Instead, she got fart jokes and that awful smell of gunpowder.
But, she would be lying if she said that everything was terrible, as there were a few benefits to married life so far. She would admit that the faint smell of cigarette smoke and Italian cologne soothed her to sleep at night, and seeing his soft green eyes whenever she wanted to made her giddy. Not to mention he let her cuddle with him.
So, despite its pitfalls, maybe this married life thing wasn't so bad after all.
